Twelve Questions - Dragon Rider Style

in #challenge6 years ago

One of my first friends on Steemit, @ameliabartlett, tagged me in this fabulous introduce-yourself-style challenge that her beau @hobotang created. So much fun!

Here's a throwback pic. I did this for my original introduce myself post. See that linked chain around the word "community?" Yeah, that. Sure found that here. Big love to my Steemit family! 💖

1. What 3 meals would you have before heading to the International Space Station?

  • Blueberry-banana greens smoothie
  • Eggs and pancakes with elk sausage
  • Sushi. I’d let @jonny-clearwater order, ‘cause he’s got excellent taste in sushi… as long as the hot sauce is on the side. ;)

2. What section of the newspaper/library would you be?

I don’t use the newspaper for anything but starting fires (I'll read the comics before I crumple them up and toss them in), so I added the library bit to this question. You’d find me in the sci-fi/fantasy section, looking for books with a decent dose of romance.

3. If you were immortal, what age would you choose to stop aging at and why?

35 was good. I was in the best shape of my life, before my body went through all the changes of childbirth.

4. What sport would you compete in, if you were in the Olympics?

I dislike competition, and I think the Olympics are a corrupt organization that wastes incredible resources without rewarding the athletes that should be benfiting from all the hard work they’ve done to get to that level of skill. However, if there were a professional swinging-while-singing event, I’d enter that. Yes, I’m talking on a swing set. A big one!

5. If you had to go back in time to live the rest of your life where/when would you go?

I’d go back to Lemuria. Especially if they had friendly dragons.

6. If time and money were no barrier what would you create?

Sustainable communities for everyone in the world.

7. Have you ever completed anything on your bucket list?

Many things, yes. Moved to a different country, snowboarded epic mountains, met some incredible Steemians last weekend…

8. What would be the most surprising scientific discovery imaginable?

Surprising? Not sure. I guess it would be cool to discover benevolent extraterrestrials and actually have it disclosed, rather than this “we’re the only intelligent life in the universe” concept, which is arrogant, narrow-minded bullshit.

9. Are you a good witch or bad witch?

A good witch with a wild side, who likes to think she's a bad girl every so often. ;)

10. If you had to teach a class on one thing, what would you teach?

Yoga with Tantric philosophy, dragon rider style. I already published the manual.

11. Which band / artist – dead or alive would play at your funeral?

Janis Joplin with Michael Franti and Spearhead.

12. What book or movie have you read/seen recently you would recommend and why?

I haven’t read it recently, but I’m gonna do a shout out for The Fionavar Tapestry by Guy Gavriel Kay. It’s an epic fantasy that I’ve read many times. I always find my heart enmeshed in the story and characters, tears running down my face, imagination soaring as I live an adventure written as skillfully as The Lord of the Rings.

Your turn!

Yay, this is so beautifully you! Very nice addition, with the Library section in lieu of the newspaper. And, your commentary on the Olympics. 😂

Glad you liked that. ;) When I'm tired my truth filter isn't quite as good, and I don't sugarcoat my opinions. lol! This was super fun! 💖

Yeah Janis, I would not object her singing at my funeral, she is one of my favorite artists ever! Some things you wrote are pretty much amazing but then again, you rarely write things that are not. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. They were lovely to read 💚

Thank you so much for reading! Yes, Janis. Oh the soul of that woman! 💖

Great answers Katrina. Newspapers have the same fate at my house. 😂
Janis Joplin and 35 yrs. did pass to quickly. Love her rendition of Bobby McGee. Love her rendition of Bobby McGee.

I played Bobby McGee at the meetup, actually. Always one of my favourite songs to sing. I think I got a spark of her spirit. ;)

Well this looks like a fun challenge post, thank you for tagging me in...although I'm not sure where I go with

Are you a good Witch or a Bad Witch?

Pretty sure I can come up with something for that though.

I do know something new about you though - you have published a book. That's quite amazing, how long did it take you from start to finish?

You're welcome! I'm sure you'll do a great post. You can alter the questions too, if you want.

Yes, that was my first published book. It was actually written/published rather quickly, though the novel I published took quite a bit longer. Thanks for the sweetness. :)

Janis Joplin with Michael Franti and Spearhead.

That would be an insane mix of awesomeness hey!

Definitely! Soul and rhythm and all kinds of truth. 💖

Haha these answers are so authentic! I don’t read many Newspapers anymore either - hard answer for me. Regarding the Olympics... I hear ya - it’s an unfortunate truth. However, the swinging games sound fun to watch AND participate lol

Yes! Hop on a swing and strike up a song. This was a great challenge, thanks for thinking it up! Now you know a little bit about me—I tend to speak my mind. lol! ;)

Loved your answers! I don't know many people here who know Micheal Franti... Love him.... now I have the Sound of Sunshine stuck in my head! Thanks. Have a great day.

Michael Franti is easily one of my favourite musicians. Glad this got one of his songs in your head. I'd call that a good thing. Thanks for reading! ;)

Thanks for tagging me, its something I would normally shy away from in my pre Steemit days but I will will see what I can come up with

Was an interesting read how cool that you have published a book, thats something I am thinking of with my Bahbahra stories someday

Your post was fun! Yes, I've published two books, so far, one fiction, one nonfiction. Can't stop creating. lol! Thanks for doing the challenge so I could learn more about you, too! :)

Good to know some hidden things about you #princes :) and the 12 question really open up many users...on their secret quality.

Can't believe I didn't reply! What a hoop.

Thanks for the nomination, I've just managed to get round to posting. I really liked your answers and after just completing it, they are pretty tricky ones to answer!

I'd love to hear more about Lemuria, it sounds mystical and magic 😁

Lemuria... around the time of Atlantis. Pre-Atlantis if I'm not mistaken, though I think they overlapped. Was supposed to be more enlightened than the misuse of power that went down in Atlantis, but who knows, right? Thanks for doing your post! It was fun to read. :)

Very cool! I guess I've got some more researching to do :D
