Always during the Petersen Automotive Museum Sale, RM Sotheby's is set to auction off this stunning 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV. So beautiful in this unique Bleu Medio, the only one to have been finished in this color. And the pictures are just perfect, skyline in the background and graffiti just behind the Miura.

History of the Lamborghini Miura P400

The Miura P400 was the first supercar by Lamborghini. It was presented in 1966 at the Geneva Salon. It was an instant success with its unique look and especially with the placement of its engine, mounted just behind the passenger compartment.

For this model, it's the last iteration of the Miura, the SV, presented in 1971 with a lot of upgrades including a better handling thanks to a new suspension in order to remove the front-end lightness. Only 150 SVs were produced.

Specification

With its 3,929 cc DOHC transverse mid-mounted V12 engine and Weber twin-choke carburetors producing 385 hp, the Lamborghini Miura P400 SV can reach the 100 kmh in only 5.8 seconds with a top speed 290 kmh.

The coachwork was designed by Marcello Gandini (only 27 years old at this time) for Bertone, Italian automobile company founded in 1912. The shape of the doors were supposedly modeled off of the horns of a raging bull. Beautiful example, I love this color Bleu Medio.
