History of the Bugatti EB110 Super Sport
The Bugatti EB110 was the idea of Romano Artioli, Italian Ferrari dealer, to return Bugatti fame (inactive since 1952) with a new supercar.
In 1987, Artioli launched Bugatti Automobili SpA with a new factory in Campogalliano (Italy). After 4 years of work, the car was presented in 1991 in Paris in front of the Grande Arche La Defense and in Versailles at the same time, just for the celebration of Ettore Bugatti's 110th birthday, EB110 was born.
Specification
The EB110 has a 3.5-litre V-12 engine with 5 valves per cylinder and 4 turbochargers. The EB110SS was announced at the Geneva Salon in 1992 with larger injectors and more horsepower 610 hp thanks to a weight reduction (carbon Kevlar panels instead of aluminium). The EBB110 SS can reach the 100 kmh in just 3.26 seconds with a top speed of 355 kmh.
The bodywork was designed by Giampalo Bendini and Marcello Gandini, known for his work with Bertone and the design of Lamborghini Miura and Countach. I like this angular look. Finished in silver over black, the interior was swathed in leather with at touch of carbon fibre. Beautiful...
