1962 OSCA 1600 GT2 Coupé
Another rarity during the sale Les Grandes Marques in Paris in February, Bonhams will auction this rare 1962 OSCA 1600 GT2 Coupé with a coachwork by Carrozzeria Fissore for about € 150,000.
History of the OSCA 1600
Founded in 1947 in Bologna (Italy) by the Maserati brothers, OSCA (stands for Officine Specializzate Costruzione Automobili—Fratelli Maserati) produced the 1600 GT between 1960 and 1963 in only 128 examples.
The majority of the coachwork of this model was designed by Carrozzeria Zagato, 24 chassis (steel construction with aluminium doors) with only 3 cabriolets was built by Carrozzeria Fissore, coachbuilder based near Turin and founded in 1919.
Specification
For the motorization, I found little information but thanks to an article on Hemmings, the
OSCA 1600 GT2 has an 1,568cc engine (based on Fiat's engine) with twin Weber 38DCOES producing 105 hp. The 1600 is equipped with four-wheel independent A-arms and disc brakes.
The engine was rebuilt in 2008.
Beautiful example of the talent of the Maserati brothers...
