History of Porsche 911

When Porsche wanted to improve its 365 a completely new model has to be created for more space for the occupants and storage for all set of golf club (I like this specification). Ferdinand Porsche, the eldest son of Ferry Porsche was in charge of the design while his cousin Ferdinand Piëchh developped the engine. A real family business...

The new model was presented at Frankfurt in 1963 as the 901 but thanks to Peugeot changed to 911 (Peugeot claims the right to three-digit car with zero in the middle).

This model was delivered in 1968 in California with the Sportomatic transmission (an expensive option at $2,380, very good explanation on Total911.com about this technology), 911 S instrumentation, full tinted glass...

looks like a sneaker :) but its classic

The iconic Porsche for an entire generation I think. Lovely car. Which would you choose? the original or the gold?

The original without hesitation... And you ?

Original for me too. But I'm just an old white guy... seems like old white guys are always the guys in the old classic cars. All the younger generation are tricking out newer cars :)

She's been getting a good workout by the look of all those burnouts on the road, Lol, slick looking car, cheers mate.
