History of the Corvette Sting Ray

The Corvette Sting Ray, also known Corvette C2, is the second generation of the Chevrolet sports car produced between 1963 and 1967.

This generation was designed by Larry Shinoda, American automotive designer known for the Sting Ray and the Ford Mustang, on the direction of Bill Mitchell, huge influence on General Motors. 1967 is the last year of Corvette Sting Ray C2, the most refined.

Specification

This Corvette Sting Ray 427/390 Convertible has a 427 cu in. V8 engine mated to our-speed manual transmission producing 390 hp. This example features side exhaust, power windows and Rally wheels with Michelin redline tires.

It was finished in red with a a black stinger hood and a white convertible top. Very nice, this is why Sports Car International placed at the five position the Sting Ray on the list of Top Sports Cars of the 60's.
