History of the Packard Eight
The Packard Eight was a luxury car produced from 1930 to 1938, successor of the Packard Six. This 1934 example is known as the Eleventh Series (the most desirable for collectors), with the open fenders and the tombstone-shaped radiator shell (a Packard trademark).
This seris was presented in August 1933 and produced until next August.
Despite many models and body styles, the Packard Eight didn't have the expected success because of the Great Depression... 8,000 cars were produced during this year.
Specification
The Packard Eight Series 2/4-passenger coupe has 320 cu inline 8 cylinder engine mated to 3 speed manual transmission. The chassis has the adjustable Ride Control suspension for a better driving.
This model was fully restored and finished in medium blue with contrasting light blue pinstriping over a grey interior. Beautiful dashboard with this huge steering wheel...
