1939 Alfa Romeo Tipo 256 Coupe
After this stunning 1958 Ferrari 250 GT Tour de France Berlinetta, another great lot is going to be auctioned by Gooding & Company during its Pebble Beach Auctions with this beautiful 1939 Alfa Romeo Tipo 256 Coupe.
The price is still unknown, but in 2014, an cabriolet version was sold for $US 4,000,000 (photo below source.

History of the Alfa Romeo Tipo 256
The Alfa Romeo Tipo 256 was introduced in 1938. It was the last collaboration between Alfa Romeo and Ferrari (engine produced in Modena). With the Second World War, few Tipo 256 would ever be built.
The Alfa Romeo Tipo 256 has a coachwork built by Touring, Italian coachbuilder famous for superleggera construction methods. The design was by Mario Revelli (link in Italian), automotive designer who worked for different coachbuilders including Pinin Farina.
Specification
The Alfa Romeo Tipo 256 has 2,443 CC DOHC inline 6 cylinder engine with 3 Weber 36 DO2 Carburetors producing 125 hp at 4,800 rpm.
I really like the interior, and especially the dashboard. Too bad there are not more photos available...
