It is Good to Have Reversing Camera in Old Cars

in #car6 years ago

Hello Friends,

Here I am Lucia again trying to find a good and virtuous topic to inscribe and share on my blog.

So the topic for today is "Reversing camera in old cars".

Not everyone can pay for the latest vehicles, especially if they are older and have a fixed income. When my old Nissan Datsun 280C vehicle reached a point where it required major repairs, it was better to sell it and get a newer model. It was a wonderful car and it was equipped with a great safety equipment, but it had reached almost the 35 years of age when it was discarded, although it would have been good during some years more if it is updated.

One of the best things was the way it was designed and built. The chassis was solid and had rubber on the bumper bars and around the side. This protected him from blows when backing up or suffering damage to the parking lots.

The newer vehicle has many safety features, such as cruise control, air bags and other things, but it lacks many of the good features of the Datsun. It's a Toyota Camry Altise and a great vehicle for me in the city and on short trips. But reversing in parking places has been a great disadvantage.

It is difficult to see where things are and there is no rubber on the bumper bars, which means that any small protrusion removes the paint leaving ugly scars. This became a problem for me, as it was embarrassing.

My son was able to do a great service in the car and included repainting the parts that had the scars of the paint. While he did a fantastic job, it made me nervous to park anywhere for fear of doing the same kind of damage again.

The problem was solved, however, when I bought a beautiful investment camera with video, and so on, for Mother's Day. Shortly after he prepared it for me and now the worry of reversing is gone.

This is a great innovation and every older vehicle must be equipped with such a device. It also allows to see if there is a pedestrian or a small child in the back before backing up. With so many children hit at the entrance of their homes and in other places because the drivers had no vision of them is tragic. Many of them are murdered by their own parents.

While it is unnecessary to eliminate old cars and that governments insist on replacing them, what they should be looking at is making it compulsory for all vehicles to have a reversing camera installed. It only took my son about 2 hours or less to place the camera and now I also have a front camera on the device that will record anything that may happen in front of me as well. That could be an accident or even a video of road conditions.
