Kali Mist Co2 Extraction by Ceres

in #cannabis9 years ago

Kali Mist is a sativa dominant hybrid but its clean head high with almost no munchies or drowsiness will make you think its pure sativa. This extract came in at 78.5% THC. High considering they are adding something to the extract to make it useable with an atomizer.

The packaging was a simple little box, branding on the front and a window to see the cartridge. On the back it has legal info with a sticker showing the standard information and THC percent. Inside was a little plastic sleeve to hold the atomizer in place as to bee seen from the window.

It had a standard 510 connector, the center post does not stick out much if at all. The air comes from the threading and bottom too. A bit on the restrictive air flow. Also the resistance is 2.9 ohms so do NOT put over 6 amps to it or you will prolly burn out the coil or at least burn the fiberglass wick (yuck). 5 amps is the sweet spot I have been told but my mod only goes down to 7amps and I have to pulse the fire button as to not burn the cart out.

The high from this is super clean and mellow. Takes a bit to fully come on and its a gradual build up. Not something you notice instantly. I puff on this throughout the day and it does not get me burnt out at all. Very happy and euphoric. If you are someone that doesn't like the munchies or drowsieness that comes with an indica this extract is for you.

The taste was a sweet citrus and pine with a note that reminds me of the smell of already been vaped (abv) weed when you dump it out, almost a woodiness. It could be they decarboxylated the extract before before adding it to the vegetable glycerin or the propylene glycol or whatever they add. I really wish they said what it was mixed with so you could vape it and I really hope its not coconut oil like the old school cartridges were.

I feel the weed industry has a lot of catching up to do with the vape community. Its like they are stuck in technology from 8 yeas ago vape wise but in the present with the extract. Also I asked if I could buy just the extract with out the cart and the shop I was at said they no longer carry just the "juice". I was hoping to be able to have something to try on my dripper. lol

Sorry the picts aren't that exciting, got a weed review I will post next that will have that lo-fi weed porn in it. extracts are so boring to look at imo. also I picked up a panda pen for my indica, that will be coming up too.

I picked up this extract at my local Pot store. Here is a link to their site if you want to see if they are close to you and maybe pick up some yourself. They have an awesome staff and are always willing to help.

What's in the cartridge is called distillate. They extract with C02, winterize with ethanol, then distill leaving a solvent less Product. We just started making distillate and our extractors are getting 95% THC and adding 7% terps, so Finished Product is 88-90%. Distillate is the cleanest concentrate out there loving how popular it's becoming.

this.

yeah but they have to be adding something to make it vapeable. pure extract woulnt flow through the wick and it would get gummed up and clogged juice wise quick. They are dissolving the extract in alcohol, vegetable glycerin or propylene glycol or whatever. the carts I use to get were cconut oil and after doing some reading that is actually really bad to vape so now im on carts that have no ingredient lists. prolly not the best idea.
lol
do you know of a place I cold pick up the distillate without the atomizer in Washington? I would be very interested in getting some for my sub ohm tank or my dripper.
:O

C-Cell

oh damn, looks like its still bottom/thread air but nice! have you taken one apart? do you knw if its ceramic inside the chamber as a wick or if its cotton or fiberglass?

looks like a super baby of my kanger tank.
:D

that sure looks a lot better then the carts here. still like 4-5 years back tech wise for vape stuff.
:D

Ill stick to carying my bong case everywhere :] But C-cell's do hit "pretty" good.... for a pen.

I prefer flower most of the time as well!

that will be the day, when humans can beat nature :P

Smoking something where the THC was disolved in alchohol would be aweful, I do know that there are companies that make products that are free of VG / PG thou for sure. First off my head would be Eureka, I worked in the Medical Marijuana Industry in SoCal for like 7 years.

if its pg or vg i wouldn't mind but not listing anything is a little scary as the carts i use to get were coconut oil. alcohol i tried once and it was harsh and didn't give much smoke. did get u high though. the ones i buying now i have no clue though. the ceres ones are kinda thick and you cant hit them fast or you get a dry hit, the new pandapen i got its good and u can puff often but the liquid is thin and the THC% is low. so its going fast. im guessing more on the pg ide as it don't smoke a lot and has a little burn with it. the 50%ish panda getting me blown compared to the 70-80%ish ceres carts.

im high as fuq of the panda pen i just gotso sorry bout the weird rants.
:D
have a great one and steem on!

It's not awefull at all it's the purest product out there. I've never had a cart made with anything else that was even potent because they have to dilute it so much with terps or coconut oil. Distillate is already a honey like viscosity so it's perfect for carts. All the ethanol is removed. no traces remain in ours even in a ppb test. Most C02 extractors winterize in ethonol then re-introduce the terps to make distillate or "clear" is what it's usually called here. Extracting with C02 without winterizing and re-introducing terps usually tastes bad. Distillate is sooo much better for you than BHO. Almost all BHO has trace amounts of impurities and also includes any pesticides, or mold that contaminated the flower during grow and distillate does not. Over 100 companies entered the chalice cup last weekend with BHO, only 17 were free of impurities in a ppb tests. Distillate is the future o concentrates I encourage you to try it.

In which process would the fertilizer and pesticides not come to the C02 pull, but come in the BHO pull.....

SuperCritical c02 will pull pesticide and fertilizer (everything non-polar) and I winterization would not remove these impurities....

Also im not sure what difference there is in using BHO(properly), and a c02 extraction. They are both heavy unhappy non polar solvents.

Edit: I just noticed your talking about Temprature Fractional Distilation not super critical. While the science behind how fractional distilation is cool..... It would still be possible to pull mold or pesticides as excited material albeit in very minute amounts. And Generally TFD tastes like dirty feet after it goes threw the most DESTRUCTIVE(Generally Very High CBN) extraction method I know of.

It still pulls the mold or pesticides but the ethanol destroys it. From what I understand at least, I'm not an extractor, just grower. I do know that it's a common practice to distill herb contaminated with PM because it tests clean even in a ppb test. Not sure if it's legal, but people do it. My facility hasn't run anything with PM so I couldn't say first hand. Distillate fascinates me though. It's interesting that they can isolate terps and build profiles specific to a paatients needs. Also, it's easy to cook with lol.

Yeah coconut oil is really bad and illegal to put it distillate in some states. I don't know anyone in Washington but here in az most companies sell it raw in a little syringe to dab and I do know a brand of carts that can take raw distillate without being diluted. They're called C-cells it's what we use here. They don't have a wic. But they are hard to get your hands on without owning a dispensary. Ill take a picture of some carts so you can see.

sweet, imal look c-cells up now.

have u heard of the "sub-herb"? its what im looking to get but I hate waiting a month to get stuff from china.
I have tried putting just wax on my dripper but all it did was make a mess.
I use the carts as people around me don't realize im hettin high, they think mi just vaping.
I wish the package showed if it is pure like you are talking or if it is diluted. when I go ack to my shop ima actually ask them if they can give the company feedback as the last couple carts I have gotten there are things I have been needing to mod in order to get working on more then a cheap disposable e-cigg.

Picts of the carts would rule, the last couple I have gotten are all the same style atomizer and I know there has to be ceramic disposables out there.

:D

im a bit high off my new panda pen cart so sorry about the trippy rants
:D
