"Farm Bill legalizes hemp growing in the United States" (ABC 10 News) The 2018 USA fed farm bill legalizes industrial hemp. Hemp contains CBD, one of the first approved components for medicinal use. Hemp has many industrial uses including textiles, plastics, and hemp seeds for food consumption. San Diego specializing in CBD that is concentrated in hemp plants have had to import from Europe. Hemp has been taken off the schedule 1 class drug list.

They dont want to fall behind the other state legalizations. One of the lawmakers pointed out that no one should be going to jail for it.

"Cannabis Farmers Market defies "Legalization" in Vancouver" (D Rutter) Vancouver BC Canada cannabis farmers market is defying Canada legalization laws. The laws have pushed out the original cannabis growers while propping up the corporate cannabis industry.
"$4 million loan for Ohio Medical Marijuana program approved" (News 5 Cleveland) Ohio has been dropping the ball and are running out of funds for the roll out of medical cannabis legalization. Medicinal users are still waiting for the medicinal dispensaries to start dispensing.
"De Blasio Endorses Legalization Of Recreational Marijuana" (CBS New York) De Blasio has a change of heart and now wants to legalize cannabis for recreational use. Wants to make 21 the legal age for cannabis, expunge previous cannabis criminal records.
