The buñuelos

One of the characteristic and recognized desserts in our country are yucca fritters, these soft and crispy yucca balls dipped in paper syrup, have been recognized since ancient times, whether presented as the majestic closure to a Venezuelan meal, or as the wonderful snack that a grandmother offers with love. The buñuelos are simple in their preparation and of incomparable flavor, prepare them and serve them warm, you will enjoy a simple delight with flavor to Venezuela.

Ingredients

1 Kg. Of Cassava Yucca
50 gr. of sugar
1/2 tsp of salt
Oil
For the Paper Syrup:

1/2 White Papelon Panela
Preparation

Remove the vein from the yucca and mash until a soft dough is obtained, add the salt and sugar and knead well, form uniform balls and in plenty of hot oil fry until brown, place them on a tray, sprinkle with sugar and bathe with paper syrup. . The paper syrup is obtained by melting the panela in a little water over medium heat to make a light syrup. The paper syrup can be flavored with cloves, cinnamon, guayabita or with orange leaves that will give it a special flavor.
