Actifit Wallet Update: Helping To Promote Steem

Yesterday, I wrote about how @dlike updated their application.

Today, we have an update from @actifit to their wallet.

Actifit is an application that tracks people's movement throughout the day. It counts up the "steps" one makes. This gives people the opportunity to earn AFIT tokens (Actifit's own token) and STEEM. They use posting from their mobile application as a way of verification of the activity. Those who record between 5,000 and 10,000 steps will receive an upvote from the @actifit account.

This earns the individual more tokens.

Part of the understanding that newer people to cryptocurrency might not grasp is the double tokens. What is STEEM compared to AFIT? In fact, those who are using the application might not even be aware of STEEM or anything to do with it.

Hence, the changes that are made should assist in promoting the idea of Steem as the foundation of all the applications that are built upon it. Also, in an effort to decentralize, there is another way that people can transfer STEEM or claim their rewards.

We start with the layout of the wallet:

Notice all the pertinent information is there. The amount of AFIT is listed at the top along with the different Steem based tokens. One can opt to either transfer STEEM or SBD from the wallet and/or claim one's rewards.

The transfer screen should look familiar to people since it is similar to the ones on some of the interfaces.

We also see the reward feature which lists the payouts due broken down by token.

According to their post, the @actifit team is going to implement more Steem function into it's application. This is in anticipation of mass adoption.

It looks like the Actifit team has some big plans for their application moving forward. This is very exciting.

One thing I hope they implement is the ability to power up and power down in their wallet. This is a feature I think is helpful to have. We need to decentralize as much as possible and people need many different ways to gain access to their Steem Power if they need it.

It is encouraging to see the applications on this blockchain keep adding features. Slowly, we are moving forward. This is one of the reasons we need to be patient with the entire process. It takes time for the coders to added all the features they have planned.

As the applications get more refined, we will see them embraced more. Some of them are light years away from the MVP first introduced.

It is going to be a very exciting year for Steem.
