@actifit On The Move: ICO Information
This is really incredible.
@actifit had an update today, something that @mcfarhat was working on for a number of weeks.
The application came out with an update for the Android version. This update included a number of new features which makes the application more useful while also improving the posts that appear on Steem. This is a classic example of an application that was scaled down to start just to get it to market and keeps improving with each update.
I know I sound like a broken record but watch the applications that have development teams which are continually adding to their projects.
The first addition was the ability to add pictures to one's posts. This makes a lot of sense since this is a mobile phone application that entails moving around. It is only logical to give people the ability to add photos to their posts.
Here is a link to a post I found in the new section for Actifit which has photos added to them.
https://steemit.com/actifit/@felt.buzz/actifit-felt-buzz-20181025t211255367z
In checking it out, I think all will agree that this certainly adds to the impression of the post.
By the way, this is Android only, @mcfarhat said the IOS version is being worked on.
The other big announcement is not only and addition to the application but pertains to their ICO. As most are aware, this is going to be a token using the SMT protocol. This is due out in March. According to their chart, they are going to have it in May.
Before that time, people are able to earn extra tokens at a discounted rate. The way this is done is to trade the amount earned in STEEM/SBD from a post using the application for AFIT tokens.
On the app, it looks like this.
By choosing this option, if a post earns $1, as an example, the present value of AFIT is .05. Thus, the STEEM/SBD would go to @actifit while the payout would be 20 AFIT (not including all the other payouts one is due).
Essentially, what people are able to do is to "buy" AFITs using the upvotes they receive.
This is another creative way to get people involved in acquiring (more) coins.
What is nice about this is that it is on a post-by-post basis. One can opt for the AFIT one day, the STEEM/SBD the next. As time passes, the "price" of AFIT increases until the ICO target date. As you can see from this chart, it will move to 12.5 cents.
There are some other changes to the application that are listed in the post.
There was an "Ask Ned" post put up by the @steemitblog. In it, @mcfarhat posted this gem:
https://steemit.com/steemfest/@steemitblog/steemfest-q-and-a-what-do-you-want-to-ask-ned
I do not know if @ned is aware of this application or not. However, come on Ned, toss them some delegation. 500K or 1M SP will go a long way to helping them.
Either way, the @actifit team is pushing forward with their application. Watching the applications helps to give a feel of what is going on.
If you found this article informative, give it an upvote and resteem.
Pictures from article linked.
I can see my name there! Awesome!
@actifit is one of the most amazing apps on steem! this team is really growing fast and keep updating their offering-- i am super impressed and have high hopes. i agree, @ned, give it a try!!
I also hope @ned have a chance to review the wonderful app, actifit. Thanks.

It's good to see progress, but I'm worried about painting too much of a target on my back by using some of these apps. Security is a significant problem until the issue of blockchain privacy is addressed. If Steem could have implemented private wallets, I would have invested considerably more. I suspect that a lot of whales steer clear of this blockchain simply because of the lack of privacy and security. I don't believe that wallet balances should be public information and because of that danger it poses, I'm forced to hold back on investing.
Is it only android?
No iOS or web base ?
Good stuffs to see applications popping up.
Just do not know why I will get another token instead of and/steem.
Keep on postin’

There is an IOS version already out. The update, thus far, is only on Android. The IOS update is being worked on.
Wait, 12 cents? That's $12 per day for 100 Steem delegation. How can you beat that ROI. People, wake up.
Are these numbers official or just assumptions?
I mean the .12$ in May
That's what they seem to be asking for each AFIT coin during the final phase of their ICO. So it will launch at $0.12, but I imagine there's going to be a huge dump and price will go down fast. That's what usually happens with ICOs in general. Go public and most cash out, then the price stabilizes and finds its true market value over time. But even if you're not fast enough to take profit at 12 cents, it's still going to be an outstanding deal I think.
That's how I understand this, anyone correct me if I'm wrong.
