Another Enjoyable Celebration Soon After Steemfest 3
Just got back from the amazing Steemfest 3 event in Krakow, although I have been celebrating another special occasion - @ezzy’s birthday this weekend!! As quoted by @ezzy, “the celebrations must not stop!”, haha!
I organised to take @ezzy out to his favourite steak house “Flat Iron” in Golborne Road. We love this branch as not only is it a little bit tucked away from the usual bustle of busy Central London, but also it offers special cuts of steak up to 800g!
A special feature unique to this store is a glass-fronted butcher display near the entrance that shows off the the food as you entered, fresh cuts of meat straight from the butchery!
@ezzy went for it as it was his birthday, by ordering the legendary 800g "Cornish Denver" steak! The steak was served medium-rare, cooked to perfection and the meat was juicy, richly flavoured and tender!
I opted for the “normal size” 200g rib eye steak which was also excellent, well-marbled and vividly pink and flavoursome, absolutely delicious!
Flat Iron’s signature beef dripping chips is also an absolute must try, alongside with their super creamy spinach dish! In addition, a small bucket of popcorn is served to go with the drinks as a bonus!
The night was finished up with the main "Birthday Cake", of course! I got @ezzy our all-time favourite Red Velvet Cake from the famous Hummingbird Bakery. Deep red vanilla cake topped with cream cheese frosting and containing three layers of sponge. This is pure heaven on a plate, urging you to take yet another bite and still wanting more. There is also a gluten free option too. If you haven’t tried it, Hummingbird Bakery is THE PLACE for the perfect Red Velvet Cake!
