Temos o novo e maior magnata da história moderna. Jeff Bezos acaba de se tornar não apenas o homem mais rico do mundo, mas a história, porque sua fortuna já ultrapassa 150 bilhões de dólares, sendo o primeiro ser humano no planeta a ter uma quantia tão grande de dinheiro.
Em novembro de 2017, Bezos mal ultrapassou os 100.000 milhões de dólares e ficou ao lado de Bill Gates como os únicos homens a terem alcançado tal façanha. Naquela época, foi devido às vendas da Black Friday, e desta vez o Prime Day está ajudando Bezos está recebendo algo nunca visto antes.

Jeff Bezos, fundador da Amazon, Blue Origin e proprietário do Washigton Post, acordou na segunda-feira com um patrimônio líquido de 150.800 milhões de dólares. Ou seja, aproximadamente 55.000 milhões a mais do que o segundo lugar, Bill Gates, fundador da Microsoft.
Em 1999, Bill Gates conseguiu que sua fortuna superasse os 100.000 milhões de dólares, e se aqui levamos em conta a inflação, isto representaria hoje perto de 149.000 milhões, pelo que a fortuna de Bezos é grande, realmente grande e única ao dia hoje na história moderna.
