Hello Fellow Steemian. Hope we've all being enjoying the early part of this year? Yeah! The year is really loaded with promises and bounties ready to be given out as gifts to everyone that is ready to make something good out of it. How expectant and determined are you to make a conscious and intentional statement this year? The possibility of the aforementioned question depends on how you are able to spend the early (foundation) part of the year. My mentor once said;

what will determine how the remaining months of the year is going to look like depend on how you spend your January.

Sincerely I really agree with that statement. If the foundation is destroyed what can the righteous do? Nothing you know.
In continuation of the series we started last year titled "great quotes from a mentor" which we have being able to do 4 chapters already. And today we shall be moving to the 5th chapter, in case you missed the last 4 chapters then you can read up using the clicks below:

One good thing about these quotes is that they help you in your decision making process and as well help in the aspect of living a fulfilled life. My advice to you while reading is to read beyond the letters. Remember letter kills....(hmm)
Now to the main purpose of this post;

1.

There is no action that is actually in isolation because a personal action usually will have a far reaching consequence.

• meaning be careful of the decisions you are making now because those decisions might have either good or bad consequence(s) that will likely mar or make you in the nearest future.

For example, I was told the story of a young man who was fond of harassing and raping girls that passes through his vicinity without been apprehended or questioned. This was because he came from a very influential family in the city. Several ladies were his victim. But when nemesis would catch up on him, it was his security guard that molested his 3 daughters sexually at the tender age of 10, 8 and 6 years and they were molested several times not once. To crown it all up, the same security man raped his wife when he was away on a business trip and ran away.
Well you might not agree with me on this that nemesis is always around the corner, but know that what goes around comes around.

Now on a positive note, I was also told another story of a teacher who is in the habit of helping less privileged students to pay their school fees with his own salary. Anytime he was ask why he loves doing that he will always say " I'm building a future for my children and generations yet to be born through my lineage". On this particular day, one of his grandchild went for a contract bidding, and as he introduced himself to the panel during his presentation, one the panelist asks if he was related to the teacher and he said that is my grandfather. To cut the long story short the multi million dollar contract was given to him. He later got to know part of the reasons why the contract was given to him. So he asks the man why? And the man said if it wasn't for your grandfather's good deeds I won't be here today.
How much of good decisions do you intend to take this year? To do that then you need to be intentional about it.

2.

If you pray over anything and it does not change that is because you are the one that God want to change.

Nothing is going to change if you don't have the desire to change it. You must be willing to see it change then you prayer to change it becomes answerable. Remember God has giving to us the freewill to choose.
If you are thinking change then your life must change first.

The bible say "we have been given the opportunity to choose between life and death, which one will you chose?.
Whichever we decided to choose will determine were we are actually heading to in life. God will not force anything on us. It also depends on how you see God as a person, is either you see Him as a miracle worker or as a magician. But to be honest with you God is a miracle worker and He needs your approval to perform that miracle. Never expect Him to do something for you automatically if you are not willing to give him the chance to do it. Irrespective of how much you pray, if you don't allow Him IN (entry) then don't expect Him inside. Everything starts from inside OUT and not outside IN.

3.

If you are full of yourself, one day you will make a fool of yourself.

• Is good to have self-confidence and believe in what you can do, but not to the level of not knowing your limit. Limit does not mean you can’t break barriers but there must be caution. So many supposed great men that eventually did not make it to greatness fell because they refuse to know and understand their limit.
  My mentor once said;

  " there are some gathering you get to that your opinion does not count because the reason why you are at the gathering in the first place was just to listen and learn”

  . Trying to make sense in such gathering will end up exposing you, and your foolishness will be revealed. So be smart but don’t be foolish. Don’t allow your pride and ego to bring downfall to your growing career.

  4.

  If things are working out in your life look through the window and appreciates the input of others. And if things are not working out as planned then look through the mirror to examine your ways.

  • meaning there is no one that is an Island of knowledge (perfect), everyone is where they are due to the relationships in their lives. No matter where you are now, never forget that some people actually contributed to that your journey of getting there. So reference them and give them their due honor.
    Most times when things are not working according to plan, the best option is to look into the mirror and talk to yourself because there might be something you were doing right before but you suddenly stop doing them. Check yourself.

  5.

  If God blesses your neighbor, it means is in your neighborhood

  • meaning everyone is opened to God’s blesses at any point in time. Therefore, if someone gets a blessing or miracles around you or in your vicinity that simply means you should be expectant because you are next in line. Don’t ever envy anybody’s success; just be expectant that yours will surely come. Though it may tarry but it will surely come.

    Expectation makes a miracle to stop at your address (door step). Always have good and positive expectations.
  • Learn to rejoice with those that are rejoicing because in your felicitation you will surely get yours. It called Law of Felicitation.

  6.

  If anyone has a knowledge of anything more than you, it because they gave time to it.

  • meaning the word “genius” does not exist. It is a function of someone giving serious attention to details more than the other person. You should not expect them to get the same kind of result. Even the so-called geniuses only added extra to their ordinary and that brought about difference. Think about that.
