Great Quotes From a Mentor (Chapter 4)

Hello Friends, Happy new year and welcome to another chapter of the series that I started some few months ago about great quotes that I learned while listening to my mentor of past eight (8) years. I can say it has really been helpful and inspiring to my growth over the years without any form of regret whatsoever listening to him.

Toward the end of last year 2017 and precisely the first 8 days of the year 2018, I was opportune to be in a retreat with Him and so many other powerful plus life changing quotes were given out by him and it immediately dawn on me that I cannot be tired of learning and gaining from this EPITOME OF WISDOM. As for me, it such an honor and privilege having him as my mentor. I am seriously and patiently waiting for greater things am going to learn from him this year as things unfold.

Now let us get the ball rolling as we enter into the word of great quotes from my mentor:

1.

A man cannot walk with GIANTS eat what they eat and do what they do then remain a dwarf.

• meaning your association has a lot to do with how far you will go in life. Like a proverb in my language says"any sheep that walks with a dog we surely eat faeces". You company determines your level of achievement either positively or negatively.

• a dwarf is actually expected to think and behave like a giants due to the fact that he grew up with them and on the long run behave like them. Growing up with them in this situation could either be to his advantage or disadvantage. Is either he continually sees himself as a dwarf and step up to see himself as a giant. So growing up among the giants is expected to change his thinking pattern and disposition to life.
  Therefore, your company and association has a vital role to play in your journey either to stardom or to no significance

2.

To be connected is to stay protected i.e. connection brings about protection.

• Meaning when you are connected to a source then every advantage derived in been connected to that source will be enjoyed by you. This further explains that those that are not connected to that source cannot partakes of the protection that comes with been connected to it.
  For example, as a citizen of a country, you tend to enjoy some benefits more than someone who is not a full blown citizen (Immigrant). In a more layman understanding, a son will enjoy more access than a bastard or a stranger because is more connected than the others.

3.

A man needs to be instant in season and out of season.

• meaning one cannot afford not to be relevant at all time. Every time you are called upon to do anything, you must be ready to be on point without any form of mistake or failure. You will not creates any room for excuses. Remember that no one celebrate failure.

• your ability to do deliver and perform should not be questionable at any point in time irrespective of the time you are called upon. Ready to deliver should be your motto.

• it is time to be a plus factor, A change agent, a value adding personality, a transformer, a revivalist and A mentor to those looking up to you.

What you can tolerate you cannot change.

• meaning whatever you don't see fit and acceptable don't allow it to linger on around you, quickly look for an avenue to stop it before it becomes unstoppable.

-know that one right man in the right place will always make the difference. So try and be the one making the needed difference.
" The hand that rock the cradle is the hand that rule the world". Take charge and maintain your principles and be known for that.

5.

You only have one attempt at life, so live it on purpose and make impact.

• meaning you only come to the world once and when you die then it all over. Therefore, whatever needed to be done has to done at that very first opportunity or shot you have at life. You cannot write any wrong once you cannot do it while you are still alive.
  Let that your one shot count by making sure you hit your target because there is no second chance after death.

If is in your heart then be sure God will put it in your hands.

• meaning you need to birth the idea in your heart first then be rest assured that God will bring it to reality. Just like the saying that "what a man can conceive he can achieve". Ability to desire it is the first step and the rest will be a story.

• sow it as a seed in your heart then God we bring the harvest to reality. Remember that "God is a seed multiplier and not a seed eater".

7.

Anyone that does not take a book from you to read does not respect your wisdom. He does not care about the process that made you who you are.

• meaning watch out for those that care about your humble beginning and honor them for honoring you.

• everything is with a process and such process should not be push aside.
  Anytime my mentor talks about the process that brought him to where he is now, I'm always inspired and patiently listening because if he can still come out shining with all that he went through then there is hope for me in all ramifications.

• anyone that does not appreciates your journey to that top should not be jealous of your success. You paid the price that's why you have the prize.
