Bozzlife: Delegation Dilemma
Over the past couple of months, I have been taking a long hard look at some of my delegations. I wish I had taken a before screenshot so you could see the changes that I have made over that time.
I know that @daan and I think @cryptoandcoffee have made some posts in the past about delegations. I actually communicate pretty regularly on Discord and use them to get feedback for whatever changes I am thinking about implementing on my account.
They are two pretty smart cookies and I really value their wisdom and opinions.
With the rollout of the latest Hard Forks, I have wanted to do a better job of keeping my SP up so that I can focus and grow my curation rewards.
SBI
I had some good payouts, and I was sitting on a decent amount of liquid STEEM so I used that to donate some more @steembasicincome (SBI) shares. If you didn't know, for every share of SBI that you donate, you get one in return, so my donations allowed me to reduce my delegation from 500 SP to 100 and still maintain the same upvote level from them.
Personal Accounts
I created a new account for the Sports Talk Social platform and delegated some SP to that so I can perform actions on the blockchain. My delegation to @mrsbozz was initially so she could play Steem Monsters without running out of resources, I just never removed it now that she has grown some.
@Wherein
There was a time a while ago that Wherein was the greatest coming thing. Because of where it is located and the target audience of it, the potential for growth was huge. I feel like I am always behind the curve on a lot of things (Steemit, Steem Hunt, etc) so this time I wanted to be at the forefront.
I delegated 500 SP to them and I still get some Steem returned each day from them, but I haven't heard much in terms of development. Supposedly, there is supposed to be a token coming sometime, but I am not sure when. Does anyone know what is going on with Wherein? Should I pull my delegation or hold on a little longer?

I really like Partiko, it is basically my go-to editor and comment platform when I am away from my desktop. I am still waiting for "dark mode" and it seems that development has really slowed. The still upvote each of my posts for my delegation though, so I am still holding out hope they will finally implement some changes.

My delegations to this projects used to be much larger. I have really pulled back from them in the past couple of months. Steemhunt mainly because I didn't get in early enough and now the rewards for delegation are practically nil unless you have a huge amount of SP to delegate.
Dlike I am still just trying to figure out. Every time I get ready to give up on them they come out with an announcement that keeps me holding on. I still struggle a lot with the ethical ramifications of basically getting paid for sharing someone else's work.
Being similar to Pintrest, the platform obviously has some merit and the fact that they are making an effort to cut down on abuse is encouraging.
What do you think fellow Steemians? I know it is my stake to do with what I please, but I would really like your input on my delegations.

I did remove almost all of my delegations. Some of them were to bidbots other to curation groups. But since both are starting to downvote posts, I decided to pull back the delegation.
I don't like the idea that people are downvoting posts with a part of my delegation without that I know for what reason they are downvoting these posts.

Yeah, I am not entirely on-board with downvoting a post just because it used a bidbot. Now if it is crappy post that used a bidbot then I can agree with that. Bidbots weren't all about abuse though. I had a couple of promotional posts I wrote where the client used bidbots to boost them to trending just to give them more exposure. How is that any different that Google with their search engine or any other advertising campaign for that matter. Look at how much a superbowl ad costs...

Same struggle:
I don't vote for post in Dlike that just copy and paste from the original article. What I like about Dlike is the ability to "resteem" with a comment. If people used it in this way, I think Dlike would be exceptional.
I am a pro member of Dlike but I never post without including my own commentary. It is hard though because I know a lot of people frown upon Dlike in general so I don't want to be lumped in with the people who abuse it.
I am a pro user as well but rarely use it. Sometimes we have to make tough decisions. Sounds like we are struggling with the same one right now.
Yeah, I was really excited about the partnership with sports talk social and dlike, but it sounds like the user base of sts isn't really a fan of it, so I don't want to ruffle any feathers. It's one of those cases where just because lots of people are taking the easy way and profiting off of it doesn't mean I want to sacrifice my standards to follow suit.
Understand. If you look at Dlike a large majority of the post are sports-related and I am guessing so because of the partnership.
Yeah, it wasn't always that way. It used to be more crypto markets stuff.

I have recently reviewed and changed my Delegations as well dropping a few, after the Hardfork to increase the value of my vote a little
I think the logic you used for why you are delegating makes a lot of sens eot me, I never got into Partiko myself, I know many use it but I just never really gave it a fair go to see if I liked it to be honest
It is really great if you need to use a mobile device. Way better than using the actual Steemit site or other ones like that. I haven't tired the esteem app that much, but I am sure it is good. They put a lot of time and effort into their development.
I use the esteem app for posting from my Phone, and Steem Reply for replying on a mobile, but I need to look at Partiko for visiting peoples post I do that mostly at the moment on my PC inthe evening
I still don't like typing a post or a big long reply on my phone, but Partiko makes it a little bit easier. If they could implement a dark mode that would be a game changer. It is so bright trying to use the app in bed at night!
LOl I dont have that problem when I get into bed I am asleep within seconds most nights LOL

dlike and steemhunt... I've not really clicked with the idea of how they are rewarding for well... not totally original work... it does seem quite disingenuous... glad you removed them!

Other than dlike and steemhunt I think your decisions are decent, and SBI is a good investment overall.
