House Centipede: Beauty or Nightmare?
This critter is known as Scutigera coleoptrata. AKA The house centipede. A well known pest/savior depending on how you look at it. This animal looks fearsome but it rarely bites. If anything, it prefers to make a surprise appearance and hunt down roaches, crickets, flies, and other small invaders. I found this large one wandering my room and decided to give it a photo shoot.
Here it is again having a drink in the little temporary enclosure I made for it.
