I read somewhere on Reddit that people who commit suicide, they look fine til the end

in #blog5 years ago (edited)

There are always some times you feel like the whole world is going against you and noone having your back. People who said that they will always be there for you eventually leave you when you need them most. You will feel like the burden in your shoulders isn’t going to be any lighter but just getting heavier day by day. Noone but you have to deal with it.

Like all of a sudden you are forced to grow up. To face things not only as an independent person but also as a mainstay for people to rely on. There wasn’t time for you to be ready and aware of those bad things beforehand.
You wasn’t well-prepared.
You wasn’t strong.
You are so overwhelmed.

You are isolated yourself. You realize how much you love to be alone, do your own work, have your own things rather than spending time to be with people, to talk to people. Always being nice is also a kind of great attempt. That is a huge effort to bury all your thought, stress, confusion, anger, desperation. Hold in your feelings to be strong for others. Leave the mess behind the door, make up a cheerful face and go out. Only smile to be shown.

In the end of the day, laying down yourself on bed and being immersed in thought. Wipe off all layer of mask. When you are totally you, please let your tears fall down.

Just want to say that people are always well covered. We will never know how much stress they have been under. Like what I read somewhere on Reddit, that people who commit suicide, they look fine til the end.

I heard antidepressant medications cause people to lose emotions. The ups and downs of life are gone as life goes towards a flatline. The heartbeat will flatline with the emotions. Emotions can be as volatile as crypto, and we must survive the tough times :)

Excellent comment. Medications affect different people in different ways, but you're correct in saying that many meds will repress people's emotions. Whether that's valium or prozac or whatever, the true effect can be insidious.

A close friend of mine told me this. Would not touch an antidepressant unless it’s the rare occasional Xanax 😂

It’s nice to share these thoughts

Right. But I bet most pharmaceutical companies would love to have you touch, then swallow, then get addicted to their horrible products.

When we were kids, we were warned of the "dangers" of marijuana and various mild stimulants, etc. But those drugs are not half as dangerous as the addictive poison that Big Pharma pushes on its millions of unsuspecting customers these days.

Nice to see you back even with a sombre post. People cover up all the time and the ones who attempt or suceed in killing themselves are often the ones you'd least expect.
Depression can affect anyone.
How life is treating you kindly, and if it isn't, then open up and talk.
Take care, best wishes and nice to see you back :-)

PS I was in Ho Chi Min for a few days a couple of months ago, had a lovely time andpeople were so nice :-)

Thank you for your kind word. Actually I don't really want to write this kind of negative things. I don't want people see me so pathetic. But sometime I just need to get it off my chest. hehe

Did u visit to HCMC for travel? it must be good, right? Hanoi is also not bad for visit. See you next time :))

It could be that people who commit suicide look fine because they still have a grain of hope in them.

Your post is very moving, and it reflects that underlying "hope." As you hint, when the world seems to be too much, too fast, too loud, too confusing, too stressful ... then it's a great idea to retreat, be with yourself, and understand that there is joy, peace, and happiness somewhere inside you.

You are free and independent of all. Of course, you have family and friends, but you realize that the power to live and love is inside you. It does not come from anywhere else or from anyone else. It comes from you.

Motivated by that power, you can stand tall, stride forward, and step back into the midst of the chaos of the world. And you can remain at peace ... always.

Peace.

The way you comment always impresses me a lot. Like the words of a really experienced person who has been through a lot, and now can see things in deeper and different way.

I feel understood just by reading your comment. ^^
