Here's a blast from the past. Who remembers the original X-Wing game? Well this isn't the original. I have it somewhere probably on 3.5" disks. This is the collectors edition. Probably the only game I bought twice. The collectors edition also includes the squeals Tie Fighter and X-Wing vs Tie Fighter. I think I bought this for the last one. One of those collectors editions that was about the same price as just the game itself. X-Wing was a great game for the day. Still remember all the "Red leader incoming missile" messages. So much missile evasion. Also remember when Return of the Jedi came out and the super star destroyer had it's shield gen taken out in the movie. I went back and tried it in the game and was able to kill every star destroyer in the game. The X-Wing on full engine power could outrun missiles and Tie Fighters. Flay in one direction long enough and every ship would chase. Do a 180, fly right past them, and the star destroyer was a sitting duck with no fighter cover. Funny part is while the included the ability to kill the star destroyers they never figured anyone would actually do it. You kill it and it's back in the next mission with the same name.
