Found another old bottle of pink champagne. Or is this pink sparkling wine? It's a California Pink Champagne by Franzia. While it's not a true champagne by international definition it can still be called California Champagne due to some crazy loopholes. If you want a good read on those loopholes I suggest this article. In this case this bottle could have been labeled champagne since it was made well before 2005. How long before? Well that's the real question here. I have no idea. I'm guessing before 1990. I was only able to find one other bottle and it was just dated late 1900s. Seems Franzi went to putting their wines in boxes in the 1970s. Possible this bottle is from the 60s or 70s.
