Earning Potential & Drawbacks Of My Favorite Blockchain Platforms

in #blockchain6 years ago (edited)

Hey everyone, so after I uploaded my video yesterday I got several questions around social blockchains and the 5 major ones I reviewed which were Weku, Steem, Whaleshares, Sola, and Minds.

These are the major questions I was asked and am answering:

  • What are the major drawbacks of those platforms?
  • Is it possible to take out money from these platforms anonymously?
  • Could you do a break down on earning potential in the different platforms?
  • Explain the monetary value associated with these coins?

This is a quick summary of what’s wrong with my favorite blockchain platforms:

  • Weku - people abusing sign up bonus + no witnesses + can’t really cash out
  • Whaleshares - long wait times + previously had bid bots but they aren’t consistent or reliable
  • Steem - flag wars and issues around that + people leaving due to massive value drop (however its better than most)
  • Sola - a lot of spam and vote begging + not much opportunity to earn + not really utilizing the blockchain
  • Minds - starting to see some censorship + not really using the blockchain

Even with these issues I've still had a great experience with these platforms and they are way better than the major social platforms out there today. I just want you all to know that I'm not biased or being influenced by these platforms. I want to report on these unbiasedly so you have all the information you need.

Let me know if this was helpful and if you have any other questions I could cover. I enjoy answering questions as it doesn't put a huge amount of pressure on me to come up with something to discuss, so feel free to drop some questions :) Also sorry for saying "Um" so much, I really need to cut that down because I cringed rewatching this later on.

You left out the part that whaleshares and weku are straight ripoff versions of steemit, sola looks like medium with a theme and minds taking forever to load

I'm not worried about who did what first. Instagram copied Snapchat and it's better that they did. Minds hasn't given me loading issues. So I didn't find any of those as issues I had experienced after months of use.

I beg to differ. Instagram and Snapchat are very different with some similar features.

Weku/whaleshares copied everything on steemit right down to page format. The only discernable difference is the reward currency

I just mean in terms of stories. So you're going to avoid new platforms based on loyalty to Steem? Facebook was basically a copy of MySpace

New platforms are always welcome. However I don't see what weku or whaleshares have to offer.

Facebook is constantly being developed and is now light years ahead of MySpace.

Hope you get my point.

That's fair. Always good to diversify I think though since it's easy to replicate
