Green is beautiful!! Green is Life!

Just when I was getting bored this lazy afternoon with nothing to do, this interesting tiny lil thing came in and sat on my bag.

Couldn't help admiring it for the entire time, I had the honour of its company and long after it was gone.
I kept wondering where did it go, where did it come from... does it belong to our place or it migrated like birds do.... am sure a lot of you guys too won't be having the answers... so here goes some interesting facts about our pretty lil friend....

There are various reasons why butterflies migrate toward other places. Our mini buddies are cold blooded creatures and simply can't handle cold weather and they keep traveling somewhere warmer.
If it's winter and there are no flowers they'll hop on a to a more warmer place in search of their food source. The butterflies also migrate to establish new colonies. The butterfly caterpillars consume more food than the butterflies so if they stay in one place for longer the caterpillars will consume all their food.. hence these nomads keep migrating!

Below are few more interesting facts abt our tiny buddies:

1. The butterflies taste with their feet
2. Their eyes are made of 6,000 lenses and can see ultraviolet light.
3. Most of the adult butterflies don't excrete rather they use all they consume for energy.
4. The first meal after a caterpillar hatches is usually the eggshell from which it has just emerged.
5. In some areas, the number of caterpillars feeding on plants is so great that you can actually hear them munching. Thus, manners are not important in butterfly society 😛
