BTC held on orders will also be credited. Only the BTC held on your account is eligible for BTG.”

Governments across the world are using technology and banks to keep an eye on their citizens. Decentralized currencies like Bitcoin may be the only way out for people who want to maintain their privacy.

The US, through the enactment of Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), tracks the accounts of its citizens worldwide. US citizens, whether resident or not, have information such as their social security numbers and total assets collected by banks and submitted to the IRS. The US government twists the arms of foreign banks to ensure compliance. This is done by threatening non-compliant banks with a withholding penalty on their US transactions.

🗞 South Korea to Step Up Supervision of Bitcoin Trading After IMF Calls for Reform

Following a meeting with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), South Korea is pushing for structural reforms which include strengthening the management and supervision of digital currency transactions including bitcoin.

South Korean Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance, Kim Dong-yeon, attended the meeting. “We must actively push for structural reforms to achieve growth,” the news outlet quoted him saying last week. In addition, Sunday Seoul Newspaper quoted him saying on Friday:

“We will strengthen the management and supervision of virtual currency transactions such as bitcoin.”

Here is a small update about bitcoin. We are still stucked at the end of the triangle, testing the resistance line since hours now :

The patience here is the key. It is just a matter of hours before we have a break out in one of the directions. I hope that all the people who bought BTC to receive free Bitcoin Gold won't lost money due to a massive drop.

We have here a triangle pointing towards the up direction, so in most of the cases, it gives a break out DOWN but no one can be sure at 100%. So don't play the break out, wait to have the trend installed.
