🗞 US Border Officials to Test Blockchain for Certificate Tracking

• US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is reportedly planning to trial a blockchain platform that will allow it to verify NAFTA and CAFTA certificates.

• The system will formally launch in September and will enable the CBP to check an imported product’s origin, authenticate trademarks, and verify information about items' physical properties.

🗞 A Crypto Card Game Is Testing Magic's Records – And It Hasn't Even Launched

In the world of nerdy trading card games, the Black Lotus is still on top.

An early version of the rare Magic: the Gathering card sold for over $87,000 in July. But less than a week later, that record received a challenge – though it wasn't beaten – from an unlikely source: a crypto trading card for a new ethereum-based game, Gods Unchained, sold at auction for 146 ether, worth more than $60,000 at the time.

🗞 China: Insurance Giant Ping An Releases "White Paper on Smart Cities," Advocates for Blockchain

China’s Ping An Insurance, one of the world's largest insurance company groups, has released a "White Paper on Smart Cities," advocating for blockchain tech, AI, big data, and cloud computing, People’s Daily reports August 22.

Ping An Insurance, a Chinese conglomerate with operations in insurance, banking, and financial services, was ranked the third most valuable global financial services company in the world as of May 2018.

🗞 Theories Abound After BTC Leaps While Bitmex is Down

It’s been an interesting 12 hours for BTC, with the cryptocurrency finally breaking through resistance levels. Most of the drama took place within the space of just a few minutes, when BTC gained $400 without blinking. It is no coincidence, however, that the event took place just as the popular cryptocurrency exchange Bitmex went offline. The experience has left traders crying foul and caused wild conspiracy theories to circulate.

The break of the support line in red has been confirmed and so the drop on the STEEM continued. We are now going in the direction of the support line at 0.80$ and we should test this line very soon. Let's hope we will have a bounce on that support and perhaps see the pattern double lows which is a bullish pattern. If we break that support line, I will start to be really afraid about the STEEM as I don't see any big resistance before the all times lows of the STEEM! Let's see...
