US Border Officials to Test Blockchain for Certificate Tracking

  • US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is reportedly planning to trial a blockchain platform that will allow it to verify NAFTA and CAFTA certificates.

  • The system will formally launch in September and will enable the CBP to check an imported product’s origin, authenticate trademarks, and verify information about items' physical properties.
