Bitcoin’s price fell by 15 percent

On Wednesday, December 20 the Bitcoin’ price fell by 15 percent to $16,900.

Experts believe that the depreciation of digital gold is due to the announcement by the monetary authority of Singapore about the risks associated with investing in ICO and cryptocurrencies.

The recent increase of Bitcoin and other coins in Singapore was associated with speculative activity. Investors were reminded that there are no assets behind Bitcoin, it isn’t a legitimate means of payment.

Experts note, that such comments were made by various departments around the world, including the US SEC. This can be considered an official position of the authorities. According to analytics, the main difficulties of this cryptocurrencies are high commissions and long confirmation of transactions.

The capitalization of Bitcoin fell almost to $284,34 billion, and all cryptocurrency market – to $623 billion.
