July 26th Weekly Terracoin Update – Block

Update/Bad Block

After a successful release of the new client (0.12.2.4) we decided to throw a spork which caused a bad block/fork between the ancient 0.12.1.5/0.12.1.6 versions and the newer versions.

If you haven’t updated your masternodes/local wallets to at least version 0.12.1.8 then please do so immediately. If you are running 0.12.1.5, or 0.12.1.6 and you think everything looks fine please update anyways.

Your rewards are not real on 0.12.1.5, or 0.12.1.6.

People on all versions of the client can be stuck on the fairy tale blockchain that the bad block caused.

Enabled masternode count will be unreliable until more people have updated and fixed the bad block.

To find out if you are on the fairy tale chain first match your current block to insight: https://insight.terracoin.io/

If it doesn’t match, then you need to run the steps below.

These steps should be run on both the local wallet and your masternodes; from the debug console on your local wallet or via terracoin-cli on your VPS.

Virtual Meetup

We may do another one before that date since we understand that our community isn’t only in North America time zones.

We want to make ourselves as available as possible to the community, because we know our success rests on the community.
