Segwit will save Bitcoin from a hard fork?
Could this be the end of all other altcoins? Only time will tell but experts in cryptocurrency agree that this could give Bitcoin a huge advantage over all other cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is becoming more of a household name and could possibly skyrocket in value in the years to come.
Segwit could certainly save BTC from a hard fork, which will be a relief to many, myself among them. However altcoins aren't going anywhere! There's too much money to be made in them (and if you're posting in Steemit then you must agree ;)).
Absolutely agree, whilst segwit will be good for bitcoin, altcoins are going nowhere, particularly coins which offer solutions that bitcoin just can't like ethereum.
I really didn't mean that there would only be just one coin left standing (should have worded it differently). Just that Bitcoin would be king of the cryptocurrency sector
Totally agree! This is not ever going to be a situation of one coin to rule them all.
I think bitcoin will defo have its position in cryptocurrency, but I wouldn't say this is the end of altcoins, because there is still a lot of thing other coins can do that bitcoin couldn't. For example, Ethereum with its smart contract, bitcoin do have smart contract feature built into it, but Ethereum have made is better and easier for develops to work on their decentralised app on top of Ethereum.
Bitcoin I hope will always be with us. #Bitcoin as a store of value. #Dash for transforming inter-bank settlements. #Ethereum for revolutionizing the fundraising and IPO process. #Steem for changing social platform tech and building community!
We need various crypto for various needs. Bitcoin could be the store of value coin of choice for sure. It is. I hope it remains!
