I am still the only person here posting regular Canadian $BTC updates. I try to keep people apprised. I know Canada doesn't attract a lot of votes or attention etc -- but it remains a global market and a canary in the mineshaft so to speak as to what's going on in the global currency markets.
The last time we were around this mark, as you see was about 2 months ago, when I made this post about BTC flirting with the $4k $CAD mark:
We have had another fun ride in the markets, we see these ups and downs and nutty things as the price is trying to find itself day to day, and that likely has a lot to do with all the NEW PEOPLE AND MONEY coming into the space and like people trying to find their way, so the price is doing the same.
I've said this before many times, -- dips / corrections are not crashes - remain calm but do your research. Use your charts.
The recent Bitcoin Cash / fork split on the now infamous Aug. 1st of last week caused the Crypto Market Cap to finally get back over the $100B mark for the first time in WEEKS --- and we are hoping we are over the correction hump for some sustained green and growth.
We have had a parabolic growth the last ~2 weeks! - the Crypto Market Cap climbed QUICKLY - all the way back to the previous $116B market cap ATH --- and kept going.
And then some!

It blew past the $120B mark for the first time ever (August 7th, 2017 - around 9 pm EST) -- and that climb for the last 13 days means we have gained as much recently as +$25B to the Market Cap on top give or take depending on what day you are now looking being around the $140-145B range the last week.

$4k on August 5th. Roughly 73 days ( the crash and recovery period + 4 days after the BTC Forkening / Bitcoin Cash split)

That is amazing. Let us remain cautious.

BTC price has skyrocketed in a very short period of time, so when it does not go up $100/day every day, we need to remember where we came from not long ago!
I recently wrote this article using charts and 5 years of history to really nail the perspective issue here of gains and losses showing the last 5 Junes on record, in the Crypto market, it is a very good, short read with charts year over year.
It's almost ridiculous now watching this stuff shoot straight. to. the. moooon. Every day, all day!
Trend: Generally, the spread between the lows and the highs seems to be narrowing which means the highs stay high but the LOWS are also higher, so the resistance lines and larger price corrections are leaving, presumably stabilizing the currency and supporting the price and increases.

I'm waiting to wake up one day and see it as $5,000 so I can tell half the people , "I told you so" I'm just hoping from all of this rise , we don't have a fall before it hits $5,000 just over a week or so ago it was $1,000 less . Insane huh?

in Sept = high of ~$6800USD (major rise)
in Oct = low of ~$5000USD (moderate correction)

in Dec = high of ~$9200USD (moderate rise)
With BTC likely hitting the big $10000USD number in mid Jan of next year.
