Your Steemit account now gives you a COVER PHOTO option. I had posted earlier asking about this, seeing a change. Here's the scoop, & how to change your settings.
This is what my page looks like now, -- yes I will change the image LOL.
This is what our Steemit pages looked like the last 16 mths or so, since the site launched:
This is how to change it -- similar to how you changed your main profile avatar.
-- Head to the same area (Settings)
then just find a url that you like that works nicely for you ---
... and insert that url into the Cover Photo area:
( The blue highlited area is the line you are looking for. )
I just changed it to this for now, there was too much white on the image that Steemit picked for me, this is from my FB page --- where I was holding the line for the residents at a protest, against the Police State

There are some things here that are really more needed than this, to deal with as many people have been saying and I do feel the same.
The size is 1920*300. This is my cover photo
Make sure the dimensions will be:
width: 1920
height: 300
(pixels)
So it will look much better!

It helps spread the word, if people vote for it, sure it helps a bit but I would rather people learn and find value. If they do, I am happy with either or both.

That's cool and all but going to be honest, I wish they would push out a "direct messages" feature or "split the resteemed posts into a separate tab from the author's post" feature. Both of those features have been requested for some time now and I think they would greatly improve the user experience on Steemit.
Then again, maybe they're intentionally not splitting resteemed and author's posts because it would reduce the amount of eyeballs that see resteemed posts because it's in a separate tab.
They are using one of my series I've run for months asking for help from the community on these things, not that they need my series to get ideas of what to improve LOL -- but I know they are because I was emailed and told about this.
