BECOMING RICH - EP. 29. - From CLAM to EDG
I have been very interested in the casino industry that is arising in the cryptocurrency space so I first invested in CLAM:
Clam is a cryptocurrency with the acronym of C.L.A.M = Caritas-Libertas-Aequitas-Monetas, in Latin, which translates to: Care-Liberty-Equality-Money.
Well it was basically a coin aimed to bring equal distribution of cryptocurrencies, since everyone who held Bitcoin before 2014 was credited with it so it was a smooth distribution process, so I got my first CLAMS this way as I already had BTC before that.

But what I really was interested in was JustDice, the CLAM exclusive casino. So I have invested there, made some money, both with the price rice of CLAM and also the casino returns were quite nice. At one point I even had quite significant amounts invested there. So it was a good profit generator for quite some time.
This was way before ETH ICO's and the mania, this was when only like 10 cryptocurrencies existed, and the era of SatoshiDice, when it was going strong, so investing in that which I also did, and investing in JustDice, was a very good way of earning passive profits back then.
So I am telling you I feel very old, I was here for a long time and the 2014-2015 days were quite fun, there was no drag back then, it was just a bunch of nerds on Bitcointalk and some opportunists trying to make some money by investing in projects like that.

But things have changed, obviously. The industry is now 101 billion $ big, and even though I made good profits in CLAM, I am leaving it. I just cashed out all my CLAM investments + a few other insignificant altcoins, and I am going all in, in EDG.
Well not all in, but this section of my portfolio is going into EDG. Well as good as Justdice was, it's nothing compared to what EDG will bring, and even SatoshiDice's days are numbered, I mean the new website design looks awful, I think it was sold again, since I believe it was sold already like 3-4 times and each new owner makes it look worse. It was founded by Erik Voorhees who founded Shapeshift too, so those were Satoshidice's original golden days, back in 2013-2014, but after he sold it, it turned out to be quite bad, and it was also allegedly hacked I believe, not sure. But Just-Dice was really hacked in the past.
So this brings up another issue, it looks like coins held at custodians is inherently insecure, many other casinos and exchanges were hacked, so it looks like the coins have to be held on the blockchain, so I just think SMART CONTRACT based casinos are the future.
Therefore I have moved all my altcoin investment positions except a few golden ones, into EDG. I believe EDGELESS is the future of gambling.

When I went to CoinMarketcap I saw all coins are going down, retracements, yet some coins are going up relative to BTC and therefore relative to the USD as well. Things like DASH doesn't surprise me, up 10% , meanwhile Bitcoin is losing ground fast.
But EDGELESS is just rising like a star, up 18%, and don't tell me I'm talking about this too late, I have been telling people about EDG for more than a month now:

You know back then the price of EDG was below 30 cent, and now it's 73 cent, so if you had listened to my opinion, you'd have already doubled your money!
But the rise is not over, not by far. I mean this coin could even get it's license to operate the casino legally, which other coins would pretty much have to do later anyway, so being the first one is already a huge bonus. They have applied for a Curacao based license, which will probably be granted, and then expect big whales jumping into this!
This EDGELESS baby really doesn't have edges, expect a 10$ price soon in my opinion. So this is one ETH ICO token that I love, it's actually my Golden Goose was I referred to it, because it looks like every EDG holder is eligible to a share of the profits from the casino, so it will be massive in my view.
Looks like the Lounge is coming now in July, so the price might even hit 5$ before the end of July, who knows! It's hot that is for sure!

I havent bought Etheroll tokens, I don't like the design of the website and I have heard some scam allegations as well. But mostly the website design is ugly, I dont think it will attract many people.
But I have invested in VSLICE (VSL) as well, that one has a smooth website easy to use and the volume is already soaring together with the price. Already made like 50% profit there but I haven't talked about that here.
I have Edgeless and I think it's the beginning, once the casino is running 100% operational its token will go up like foam. Clearly this sector is a winning sector in the crypto world. It was my first ICO and the best of them all.

Wow that is awesome, I haven't even noticed, since Steem was disabled there for a few weeks so I didn't used Shapeshift lately, but that is good news. That will definitely increase it's volume massively!

Yes unfortunately people from the USA are not allowed to use it. Too much regulation in the US.

As I originally got into the cryptospace by being on various gamblingsites. Doge-dice and just-dice were my first ones this seem very cool.

There were a few more others, I especially liked some faucet gambling sites, yes those existed too.
Back in 2014 I believe there was a faucet website where you could invest some in their ad revenue, I forget the website's name. I think I made like 0.7 BTC there, which wasn't that much back then, back then the faucet payouts were like 50,000 satoshi, since the ads paid out easily 0.001-0.005 BTC per user, and most ads were gambling related anyway.I had like 2000 referrals, and made about 0.7 BTC it was a nice website, i forget it's name.

Quite interesting, will check it out. Do you know anything about the casino business in Asia (Japan, China, Korea and India)? These countries are adopting crypto and love gambling!
Well they will be based on Curacao which is in the Carribean sea where most of the casinos in that region are located due to low taxes and no regulations.
In asia Macao is the hotspot for gambling, most casinos are registered there.
But anyway I have researched it and it looks like about 70-80% of gamblers, in the entire cryptocurrency space come from China. The chinese are very big gamblers.
So now that ETH is getting widely used in China, sky is the limit, I easily expect Edgeless to be one of the most popular casinos there as well.
If the Chinese start using it, who knows it might go to 100$/ EDG.
