Beautiful Sunday, Special gardening, remembering old traditions.

Thank you very much dear friends of steemit, for being present in my blog and accompanying with the reading of my post. Today I want to share with you the work of gardening that we do with family in the back of my house, we are eleven days from the arrival of spring, spring is the best season in our province, we have to prepare the fund because the holidays and birthdays, my family likes to enjoy these outdoor events.

 

Argentina is something beautiful, it has many beautiful places to visit and enjoy, there are mountains, meadows, rivers, lakes, seas, waterfalls, tourist centers, a country with many diversities and for all tastes, visiting my country is a unique experience and extraordinary

 Living in my province of Corrientes I do not change it for anything, beyond the tourist attractions, what attracts me most is the people, their teachings, customs and traditions.

Corentino is faithful to their customs, very respectful of the teachings of their ancestors, our elders had very particular ways of teaching, wise people, knowledgeable about nature, by looking at them could predict weather, climate and rainfall.

The elders said that if the ducks were heard at night, they would fly and whistle, or if during the day the frog sings and charque fades, see the ants fly or the yuyo tepui chatay bloom, or simply have wind blowing north for three consecutive days, all these predictions were signs of bad weather and rain.

My grandmother taught us to pay attention to nature, with her we could predict the changes of the climate, something that I always have in mind is the arrival of spring, Grandma said that when the Lapacho tree blooms, indicates the arrival of a new climate .

The flowering of the lapacho was the signal that the farmer was waiting to prepare the ground and to begin the sowing, every year the family unit at this time we cleaned the ground, removing the undergrowth to give place to the fresh grass with which they fed the animals.

The old habits are always present, in the back of my house there is a large pink lapacho tree, bloomed more than a fortnight ago, a sign that the frost has withdrawn, it is time to clean the land.

Respecting the old traditions, today with my family we devote ourselves to cleaning the bottom, bad grass has gained ground on the lawn, usually the weeds are stronger and advance on the good grass, if you want to combat it we have to remove them from the root , for best results is done with the help of a beak, dig the root of the yuyo and remove it completely.

The next step is to remove the soil to make it soft, this helps the lawn to develop better

This work is inevitable, every year we have to repeat the operation, during the winter, weeds are where they best develop, this winter was very rainy, favored the undergrowth to develop and gain much ground.

With much dedication and patience we were eliminating all the undergrowth, we gathered several trucks of weeds, this is deposited at the end of the land to incinerate them.

The work we did as a family, I took care of the beak to remove weeds from the root, my lady gathered the weeds in the wheelbarrow, my son Ramiro took care of mowing the lawn with the machine

After an arduous work we were able to see the results of our work.

From now on we have to intensify the irrigation so that the grass develops, our background is very spacious, it is more than 300 square meters, it is very common to use it to celebrate the birthdays of the family.

Using the fund for festive purposes is the motivation of the family to work and keep the background always neat, the vast majority of people would take it with a great job, we take it as an opportunity to spend as a family enjoying a beautiful Sunday.
