#beautifulsunday Do you have any Sunday Rituals?

in #beautifulsunday7 years ago (edited)

Since i am spending most of my time in front of a computer screen, while working on my startup, a photography community on Steem blockchain BeScouted at least once in a week i have to leave my apartment and go work some place outside.

I already feel i am becoming unsocial weirdo so this is something to keep me connected to a real world outside :)

The day was quite warm considering it is November and we even were lucky to get a few rays of sun, which are not visible in the picture. Black and white finish better reflects that actual ambient mood and these were first people i have met on my way to a place of my Sunday ritual.

Love the way how that tall fellow bends to avoid collision with this awesome elderly couple that decided to enjoy some fresh air too.

Narrow spaces make people to get closer to each other.

This beauty has more space inside than that curb probably. I wonder if guys in there hug each other as often too or not.

And this is a coffee shop where my Sunday ritual happens. I love it for a nice atmosphere, and big windows if i manage to get a table near one of them.

A few times i have bought this guy a cup of hot coffee and a pastry, as we never know when we could be sitting next to him. But today the man was wasted.

As I've said i love the atmosphere of the place, that staff and the music that is spinning on an old school vinyl. And everybody is connected. Not sure if i can do a lot of socializing there :)

What a hell... Socializing does not matter since i have got my coffee and my desert.

And i got my favorite seat near the huge window that overlooks the street Got my pc set up and i can start socializing now lol

In fact i have even talked to a few real people. This gentleman remind me of one user from Steemit and i asked him maybe he was on Steemit. He said he wasn't and uses internet to watch movies on Netflix and read. But since he reads he knew what Bitcoin was. And today he also learned what Steemit is. :)

In the end he just looked at me over his eyeglasses with the question: "Where all that money does come from?" and went back to Netflix :)

What is your Sunday ritual if you have one/

Sort:

my ritual for Sundays are to go to bed late and to rise also late.

That is also a good one lol

I get up late (8:00) and draw and paint most of the day :-)

Excellent photos and "story"

Even on Sundays? Or just on Sundays?:)

Unless I really take the day off to buzz around on the Rocket with my wife, I pretty much work every day. Sunday is the best, because its usually quiet and nobody disturbs me :-)

I know what you are saying :)

Coooool post! How nice to see this day with your eyes! Now I love you even more! 🤗😚😙😗😍😍

Hah hah, i will post a picture of myself then to keep that love at bay lol Anyway, thank you for your enthusiastic comments as always :)

Rituals suggest some sort of organization to life, which I am not exactly blessed with. But I think messing about on Steemit would have to be a major one. Reading, voting, commenting, and even doing some posting, though not ever enough of that.
Love the BW and the street pictures. Very impressive. The leaning guy was classic. Thanks, and have a nice Sunday.

I'm not blessed with organisational skills too it's just something i force myself to do and usually get pleasure out of it :) Who would not enjoy a delicious dessert :) Glad you liked the pics :) Have a great Sunday too.

Well, now that you remind me of the desert part, organized or not, I think I need to come up with my own ritual in the AM.

Lol told you it's a good idea!

Fantastic photos....and funny that your social life still involves a computer screen! Just like my social life! My only Sunday ritual is NFL football on the TV while I'm sitting here enjoying Steemit!

Thanks! Yeah, it is hard to imagine social life without a computer sadly :) Like you are also multitasking, and can't let the net go :) Have a great Sunday afternoon!

nice your pic & post.... so beautiful

Nice photos yet again...

For many years Sunday meant going to church. Lately it's not been the case. I'm not saying I'm a non-beleiver, it's just fallen by the wayside and society doesn't seem to complain that I'm not there on Sundays any longer.

With a family now and young children (and living in Canada), my Sundays are mostly filled with hockey practices and games with my two boys.

Hockey is a rite of passage, a ritual if you will, for young boys here in Canada. So in a way it's my duty to support my boys in this rite of passage. :)

A very meaningful and i am sure joyfull ritual. Time spent with a family is always the time spent the best!

Yours was so fun to be a part of. I think the first shot of the older couple and the bender really drew me in - all the elements of your composition.

I like your homeless man, wasted or whatnot and the truthful reality of all of our fates.

I have a pretty simple ritual that brings me back to childhood memories of Sunday morning. I go to Church. The only excitement I experience is a calmness in my soul. It takes me through the week, no matter how hard. Not as exciting as yours. but, the rest of my Sunday is made up of different fun, but, this is a constant in my life.

I am taking this home with me. I want to see what everyone else does on Sunday. Have a fabulous day, David. Get out and be social! :)

Upped and Steemed

Thank you dear, any ritual that we have is exciting and important to us, as otherwise it would not become a ritual. We all find meaning in different things and that makes us special and unique :) Glad you loved that shots, as your's have made mu hungry. Not gtg to fix me some breakfast as it is evening here already lol

love your storytelling David and waiting for more !

Thanks! I hope you won't have to wait till the next Sunday!:)

i hope too :-))

What a great story of your behind the scenes experience. Really like the first shot with the two couples.
Sundays: I occasionally plug in to a contemporary church service as I enjoy playing drums in the band there. I appreciate the peace and calm that settles into my soul when there. We used to have family times on Sunday afternoons as a ritual: games, hikes, whatever. Now all of the kids are gone and it's very weird.

Drums in the church? That is very extraordinary :) I hope you are not playing some heavy metal there?:)

Haha! No, not metal. The Christian music scene has come a long way with most contemporary communities including songs that would be considered soft rock in style. Worth considering that hand drums have been used for centuries in some cultures. I play it all. Fun and meaningful.
