#BandsAboutBands S1:E1 Announcement | 10 STEEM prize money!

I have thought a lot lately how to give something to the awesome Steemit community. @dsound (by @prc) has been very generous with upvotes for my own band @spawnband and I’d like to give something back to the community.

I really like the Steemit community spirit and therefore would like to launch a Bands about Bands contest. A couple of benefits of participating:

• Your post will be added to www.fortheloveofbands.com and ALL submissions will be added there to support both you and the band / artist you’re writing about;
• We’ll all be promoting Steemit on multiple platforms, as it will be posted on our website, shared on all of our socials, resteemed at @ftlob Steemit profile and hopefully shared on bands’ socials and Steemit profiles;
• As BandsAboutBands will be a Steemit-only feature from now on, it will direct more people to Steemit;
• You will give something back to the community with promoting other artists;
• Both you and the artist you’re writing about, will be added to our new ‘Bands about Bands’ Spotify and Soundcloud playlist.

Rules / how to enter

• Resteem this post
• Follow these accounts (@misterro and @ftlob)
• Write a minimum of 100 words about a Steemian band/artist song, album, EP or music video
• Include a DSound / DTube link
• Include links to other platforms (Musicoin, Spotify, Soundcloud)
• Include artwork (with link where you got it from)
• Use #BandsAboutBands as first tag
• Tag the artist you’re writing about
• Include link to this contest
• Add link to your submission in the comments below

You have until March 17 to enter this first episode. Contest will end 11 days after this post was published. First round will have 4 episodes. Not a musician but want to write about a track you love? Go ahead and participate!

Prize pool / rewards:

First place winner: 6 STEEM shared equally between author and band/artist

Second place winner: 3 STEEM shared equally between author and band/artist

Third place winner: 1 STEEM shared equally between author and band/artist

The team at @spawnband and @ftlob will read all contributions, add them to ForTheLoveOfBands and the playlists, check if all rules are followed and then pick their favourites on March 18 😊
