P.O. Tassium is our beleagured, overworked publisher of the Banana Memos. He's also the conflict resolution specialist when bananas are having trouble getting along, and he's the fact checker on staff. Not that most of the Bunch care about facts; we just tell it like we see it. "Tassium," as we call him, keeps us all in line.

Greetings. P.O. Tassium here.

Caught your attention with that provocative lead photo, didn't I? :-)

In my spare time -- which, believe me, with this crazy bunch, I have very little of -- I like to see what kind of banana-related products are on the market.

Today we'll be looking at banana carriers.

Yes, it's a thing.

Oh! Don't I KNOW it! I don't mean to be buttin' in on your post here, Tassium, but as a mom and the Banana Nutritionist on this blog here, I think about bananas and snacks and nutrition all the time.

Um, where was I?

Oh yeah. Banana carriers. I can verify one hundred percent -- or maybe even more -- that's it's definitely A Thing.

Yes. Well. Thank you, Roxana.

Back to what I was saying. There are issues with trying to transport bananas in a lunchbox or briefcase or purse, and there are also solutions to those problems. I've combed the internet and found some rather interesting products to keep your bananas safe and un-squished.

First up, the Banana GUARD... the purported original guardian of curvy yellow fruits.

Then we have the Banana BOX, which comes with a built-in cutter for easy peeling, 'cause we all know how difficult that is!

Here's the Banana SAVER with, interestingly enough, an attached carabiner clip for you hiking types who need a shot of potassium and carbs to keep you going!

And ~ what you've all been waiting for ~ the Banana BUNKER.

From the product description:

Yes, we're quite aware of what the Banana Bunker looks like. But it works! And let's face it, the alternative to a slightly bizarre-looking banana protector is smooshed banana all over your purse or lunch bag. And that's just gross.

There are plenty more Banana Protection Devices out there, but I think that's enough for today's report.

Let us know which you think is the best one!

Tassium, over and out.

Clever play on words!

Thank you, @buckaroo. That's us, playing with words!

Hello, @bananamemos and P.O. Tassium,

I left open Madame Zanana's gypsy fortune-telling contest post earlier, just returned to it and found this one too.

I didn't know banana protectors were A Thing but they certainly need to be. Nothing worse than having a wonderful, not overly ripe banana looking forward to, only to find it squished squashed!

I prefer, of course, the Banana Bunker. Although the Saver with clip is useful for those who want a ripe banana dangling from their body while walking.

Bless you for this post on Banana Protection Devices. It is much needed so will resteem to help spread the happy news.

Yes, Banana Protection is a very real need. The Banana Bunker is usually the favorite, we can't figure out why. ;-) Though you're right, there's something about that handy clip on the Banana Saver.

Thank you for resteeming, @angelacs! We appreciate you helping others to meet the Banana Collective.

If you'd like a little rundown on some of the Bunch, here's an introductory post

And we hope you stop back with your tea cup or coffee mug for Madame Zanana to tell your fortune. ๐ŸŒ

i am definitely a banana bunker guy!

Yeah, the Bunker seems to be the favorite, especially with men. Something about the built-in sharp edge on the Banana Box, and the clip on the Saver, that makes them shy away.

Always nice to see you here, @harktheshark.

This is my new favorite thing.

We're kinda partial to Banana Protection too, @liberacesghost

I knew someone who saw Liberace perform a long time ago. It's nice to see his ghost is still here, interacting on the Steemit platform. Play on, brother!

You too, darling McPeel. Let us play to the moon!
