For his birthday, I would like to express my sincere congratulations to Arik Brauer.
Since returning to my hometown of Vienna in 2011,
I have had the opportunity several times to meet Arik Brauer.

For more than ten years, Prof. Arik Brauer has maintained a private collection in the basement of his Vienna villa in the Cottage Quarter. On about 200²m his most important oil paintings from the last decades, as well as his most recent ceramic sculptures are presented. A cross-section of his life's work, Fantastic Realism.
Arik Brauer, who celebrates his 90th birthday on 04.01.2019, continues to spend his days from early in the morning until the evening on the easels. Throughout his life as an artist he still works on several pictures simultaneously. He sees no reason to change this habit.

Yes, so do I ! In these past few years 4 of the "big 5" passed away, actually, Rudolf Hausner already in 1995.
I personally knew all but one, and was friends with Ernst Fuchs.

Danke Dir - von den Videos in meiner Sammlung war es schwer auszusuchen, da könnte man viel einstellen, er hat ja so viel geschafft, auch musikalisch. In seiner "Sturm und Drang" Zeit hat er ja auch als Straßensänger sein Geld verdient.

Yes, he is amazing - the only one left from a group of five artists, the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism.
The top photo is from 2012 -but he has not changed much since then. As far as I know, he still goes skiing!
o_O skiing ?? amazing!! He is like the grandfather of a friend of mine, who at the age of 80, used to run in local competition!! We have to learn how to preserve our body from these "old" peolple, and stay young forever! They are my hereos :)
