My panel for the untitled Antipodes project of 18 panels (3w x 6h).
Each panel is a 14 x 11 inches Bristol board.
This panel goes into the second row from the bottom, center of the overall project.
~
I left space on the outside for the connections to the surrounding panels to be drawn by the project coordinator.

Untitled Antipodes Project

this photo is compiled from several images I received in a Facebook message. I cloned them together with my panel. The quality is not that good, hopefully when the project is finished, there will be a good overall scan done.

About two months ago I posted about the previous Antipodes Project that was finished and exhibited several times:

🎨KILROY WAS HERE - THE ANTIPODES PROJECT REVISITED

check it out!
I hope once this (yet untitled) project is finished, it will be as successful!

About my Work

That's fantastic!

thanks Peter! I think I spent almost as much time processing the photos and putting this blog together than the actual drawing. ..... at least it felt that way, because when I draw, it doesn't seem like work, but blogging does.

Thank you very much!

Hi @thermoplastic, this was a very fine art. You have a lot of patience to draw this piece of yours. When I zoom the painting, I like gosh, it so detailed and how heavy my eyesight if I draw it. Normally, you need how long to complete one piece of fine art like this? It really amazing on how you draw all these fine arts. Is this your hobby? You were so thoughtful by providing a zoom in feature for us to view your art. I viewed your other fine arts beside this alien. You are really good in what you are doing, patience is the key element to complete such a beautiful art. Have you draw any colourful art beside black and white? I am very curious now with your eye sight. You must be have a very sharp eye sight :p

I used to have much better eyesight, but now I need a headband loupe at times for the details in my work.
I can't say how long I work on something since I work on several projects at the same time, this one maybe off and one over 2 weeks, a few hours here and there.

HI @thermoplastic, with such detailed work of yours, your eye sight worked very hard for you :) This headband loupe very cool and interesting. 2 weeks is consider fast with such a detail work. I amazed with your patience and dedication as well by looking at your other project.

Great art work and great photo of you and Mr. Gric!

that photo is from a few years ago. I find it funny because Vesna Krasnec is the one giving the shoulder massage, but only her hands are showing in the photo because of the low angle.

Wow!!! So many details in that painting!! It's an amazing work!
Is this one currently exhibited in Marchtrenk as well?

No, it is in a large envelope on it's way to Canada to be joined with the other panels. I suspect it will be a while before the work is finished and hopefully properly scanned (like the previous project). As with the previous one, the original is out of my hands.

This collaboration seems to be rather smooth and unproblematic. I only judge from the seamlessness in style, but just that is kind of a feat! I have seen many collaborations that ended in war and bickering.

@katharsisdrill There is not much bickering that I know of, but this one sat on the shelve for a long time. The smoothness (as you can see in the previous project) comes from that we use the same material: bristol board and micron pens. Some artists had physical access to the adjoining panels (I did in the first project) and drew some of the transitions, whereas with this one I submitted to, I had photos of the adjoining panels, but left space for the project coordinator to fill the blanks in-between. There are several core-members of this project that had worked successfully together before and we had been friends and collaborators on other projects over the years. Some of us had recently started a new experimental concept, less rigid about the materials and processes used. Participation by as many or as few as two. The whole idea came out of the old game of exquisite corpse and collaborative corpse we used to play on deviantArt for years already. Not long ago I started a digital canvas which I sent to two other collaborators per wetransfer. Digital is actually the easiest way since you don't have to physically mail stuff back and forth and, as in this current case, go across borders and customs.
On Facebook find The Antipodes Project and the newer spin-off Triptacular Art Collaborations that has yet to gain some traction.

I have a few persons with whom I have worked effortlessly. When things are like that it is a great thing. Nice things on the --corpse pages.

You're just made out of so much awesome ... I dont even have words anymore sometimes .... My mind's just so blown with the design and detailing of this piece <3

Absolutely gorgeous work !

upvotes and resteems

Also, congrats on curie :)

@veryspider - thanks Spiderman! I was busy elsewhere last couple of days, so took time off from Steemit.
Hopefully the group of friends I am working with can come up with something new - as indeed I had started a digital canvas a while ago and sent it off to a couple of collaborators. This should be the start for as many or as few as want to participate.

this is a expandable canvas, currently I have 2 friends working on it (so far, no results yet). Being digital and the limit of the free wetransfer service is 2GB, the sky is actually the limit for how big this is going to potentially get.

Wow, this is a very lovely artwork, Otto. The detail is so fine and intricate, I wouldn't be surprised if it looks even more amazing in real.

Congratulations for your curie vote. Very well done :).

thanks - what looks amazing is the already completed previous Antipodes piece where I also worked on (I got the full-size print file). I am hoping this will be just as good once finished.
