My entry for this week's #artexplosion is the above photography. I took it a long time ago but I have never shared it on Steemit before.

This photo dating back to 2006 was taken with a Sony DSC-S500. The image has not been retouched in any way. What you see is the original outcome produced by a specific setting on the camera, but I don't remember what it was and am I not well-versed enough in photography techniques to say what gave this monochrome-like result.

Here is another and very similar one but of a different shade.

It is a picture of one of Pierre Dupras' sculptures. I had a bit of a hard time finding back who is the artist behind it but I finally found on the web what I was looking for. I knew this marvelous thing to be in the Parc des Prairies in Laval, Quebec, but what I ignored was its name which is cinq Géants, meaning five Giants in French.

As you must have guessed by now, the artwork on display here is but one piece of a set of five. The pic's subject is a wolf's head made of metal that has been attached to a dead and branchless poplar. Since there are not much traces of it on the Internet, I'm wondering if the art still can be found where I captured it.

The head of a wolf seems to be a recurring theme for Pierre Dupras.

What I really like about my photographic submission is the timing involved. It's not only about the dusk setting which gives it an even more creepy feel, but also the luck I had to be able to capture​ a waxing moon for an eye as an additional touch of mine!
