Art Gallery of modern art in the National Museum in Kraków, Poland
There are lots of museums in Krakow, Poland. Usually they are small, having only 2-3 rooms. Most of them belong to the National Museum of Krakow (Muzeum Narodowe w Krakowie), whose branches are scattered throughout the city.
The main building is three floors and the third floor is dedicated to 20th-century Polish painters. Unfortunately, most of the photos have disappeared somewhere, so I'll have to show what I have. Probably it is Krakow's mysticism))).
The main building of the museum is located at this address: al. 3 Maja 1
The collection is represented both by traditional painting, and by what we call modern art.
Leon Wyczółkowski, 'Alina', 1880
Jan Hrynkowski, Martwa natura, 1916 (still life)
Józef Pankiewicz 'Port w Saint Tropez', 1909 (Port in Saint Tropez)
I really liked this painting. I also have long hair and I also comb my hair the way like that).
Olga Helena Karolina Boznańska 'Dziewczynka z chryzantemami, 1894 (Girl with chrysanthemums)
Gustaw Gwozdecki 'Głowa chłopca', 1902 (A guy's head)
Here was no sign and I did not understand, we must admire art or not).
These are the things that I really like
Józef Mehoffer 'Vita somnium breve', 1906
Edward Dwurnik 'klęska urodzaju' 1975
In general, my impression of the visit was ambiguous. I love painting, but I do not understand it. I like elegant beautiful pictures and interesting subjects. However, people walked around these paintings with an intelligent look, apparently the art really carry a value).
Do you like modern art? Do you understand it?
