The Chakras
Chakras are believed to be the energy centers of the non physical body through which energy flows through. The seven chakras are reprsented by the colours of the rainbow and starting from the base of the spine they are the root, sacral,
solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown chakras. Having all chakras aligned and in balance is considered important for spiritual progress. I also chose to use a silhouette of a person meditating because many people believe that dissolving the ego is essential for spiritual awakening. The Snake
The snake represents two things. The first is Kundalini, the primal energy that resides in us and upon awakening travels up the spine through the chakras. When Kundalini reaches the crown chakra a person is said to have achieved enlightenment. The second is the Ouroboros , a Greek symbol of a snake eating its own tail to signify infinity. It also represents the eternal now, and how one can transcend time and space to arrive at a plane of infinite now and possibility. The Astral Plane
The astral plane is where the non physical body goes while asleep or meditating. The eyes within the snake form represent the eyes that can see into the astral plane. The background of the universe also is meant to represent it.Flower of Life and Metatron's Cube.
These are two forms of sacred geometry that have a lot of meaning behind them. Read more about the Flower of Life here and Metatron's Cube hereDMT
Surrounding the sacred geometry and connecting the snake is an abstract representation of the chemical structure of DMT, a naturally occurring chemical that is released upon birth and death. It's also found in many plant species and can be ingested as part of shamanic ceremonies towards spiritual growth. It's known as the spirit molecule due to its association with profound spiritual insight.Sun and Moon Cycles
The Sun is represented by the yellow triangle and the Moon by the stages of its waxing and waning. They signify a cycle, and the routine of waking up and sleeping we all follow.Celtic Knots
The waning moon ends in Celtic knots that are another form of sacred geometry and represent the interconnection between all things.Turiya
All this is happening within a larger eye that is opening towards Turiya which is the state of pure consciousness that transcends the other forms of it. It's the state beyond time and space, and where the boundary between self and the world has already been broken. You are the world, the world is you, which to me is the highest form of spiritual awakening.
Whhoooaaaaa. Really cool man. It's great to awaken to some awesome @soulturtle art.
Thanks a bunch. It was a fun exploratory process. You should submit something too! This theme is just perfect for implementing some fractals.
I love this!! Epic epic epic!! I have read about 6 Krishnamurti books, over the past 25 years... I love his insights, just plain truth!
I have dabbled, and I have scrabbled... Probably I will never be a Buddha in this lifetime, but I did do DMT a dozen times, so I am totally okay with mortality... Your art image does something in my brain, when I engage it visually!! Total download! Thanks for activating my chakras, braddah!
I had the privilege to go to a Krishanmurti School. Never really read his books till I left, but our entire upbringing was focused on his philosophy without preaching it to us. Glad to know you know of him and find his insights meaningful. I don't think I'm spiritually awakened either, but I find the topic fascinating and am willing to at least consider the possibility that this world isn't the only reality and that it can be peeled off like layers on an onion. Glad to have activated your brain through my art. That's one of the best compliments.
I recognized the chemical symbol artwork as DMT, but that is one psychedelic that I’ve never tried.
I see where “they”, whoever “they” are, are talking about legalizing psilocybin mushrooms hmm....interesting.

Especially love your treatment of the snake, making eternity all the more delicate. Wonderful to see the process of how this image evolved. 🦋
Thank you! That's a beautiful observation. I didn't think simple brush strokes could also portray how delicate eternity is. The great thing about art is how everyone perceives it through different view points.
Love all the symbolism you used 😍
Thanks, it was a great theme to explore. I've always been fascinated by sacred geometry, esoteric knowledge and the deeper meanings behind them.
@ soulturtle, you and I have chosen different paths on learning about spirituality, awakening, and what we believe to be truths. I am a believer of God, but though we may be taking a different path on our life’s journey, I respect your beliefs and also care about you, and love you. I see that you are focused on helping others through your amazing and beautiful artwork and also from what you say. I think that’s beautiful sir. I to try to do the same thing, just in a different way. I truly pray that you will find perfect peace and contentment @soulturtle. Bye
I believe God has many different manifestations. Shiva, Christ and Allah are all different names for the same universal energy. Here's an excerpt of the explanation of Metatron's cube.
When you're climbing a mountain, does it matter what route you take as long as you get to the top in the end? I think the same applies to spirituality. I don't think there's any one correct answer to life's mysteries and though I wouldn't say I'm 'woke' I am open to the myriad possibilities. The beauty of life is how these paths cross and intersect and I respect your beliefs and values as well.
I'm also overwhelmed by the care and support and grateful for that. It means a lot. I don't know if I'm all that altruistic but I try to focus on the positive and walk a path with a heart. As of now my life is full of peace and contentment and I hope I can continue that trajectory.
Thanks for your thoughts and comment. Here's reflecting some lovewaves right back atcha!
This is a great post and artwork. I enjoyed how you showed your processing of the pieces. I also want to thank you for the info you gave on how to find copy free images from a google search, I did not know how to do that.
Also on a side note, I went back and read your introduceyourself post and
Would like to extend a late welcome to Steemit congratulations.
I live in north central Iowa and there used to be thousands of family owned farms that all had a sustainable aspect to them and sadly corporate farming is so ingrained in farming now. There are small groups that still try to set the clock back and farm with an eye towards sustainable/permaculture farming.
I also am a little familiar with Krishnamurti and have done a little research on his biography and somewhere I have a book of his, but shamefully, I have to admit that I did not finish it. (I would say that I probably have A.D.D. or attention deficit disorder, as I frequently start a book, and then another book comes along and I get distracted from the first book) So, I did not finish the book due to any boring content, but due to an A.D.D. distraction. I’ll have to hunt it up again, hopefully I can find it as due to that A.D.D. Condition I do have a few piles of books around.
Anyhow since I’m welcoming you late and can’t upvote your introduceyourself post I’m going to upvote a few of your comments on this post.
Upvoted and following.

Thank you for the kind words.
To be honest, I've not read an entire Krishnamurti book either. I kinda feel that we learnt his teachings intuitively while attending a school based on his philosophy. It definitely shaped me into who I am today.
With the advent of modern technology it might be easier to just google some of his writing than hunt that book down. There are also some lectures on youtube if you'd prefer audio.
It's the same story here really. A couple of generations back we were living sustainable lives but that changed as farmers were led to believe western 'science' was better than their traditional knowledge. Nevertheless I've met a lot of great people working on bringing ancestral knowledge back and making a significant change in their communities. Some day, I'll be one of those people too.
Thank you for going all the way back to my introduction post and the welcome. I've learnt a lot in my time here and constantly amazed by the sheer vibrancy of the community. Glad to be here and steemin' on :)
woooahhh. u bring me to another dimension in ur awakening entry...good job dude.. best of luck
Thanks a lot. Dimension portalling is always something I've wanted to do through my art and words. Great to know you were momentarily transported!
