Steem-Powering a New York Presence
We’re well under way with preparations for our exhibition in New York including a complete @fundition campaign, ongoing @utopian-io uploads to share all of our open source design material, and project-specific updates and research on our @exhibition account among many others. The Sndbox team and its community is going full throttle to make sure this Exhibition becomes a powerful window for the NYC world to enter the Steem universe.
We are fundraising! We are expecting the show to cost $10,000 USD including space rental (we've already paid $5,000 to secure the gallery), insurance, exhibition material, and install. We’re looking to raise an additional $2,500 for promotional events and workshops designed to bring the New York public directly into the Steem community. The bulk of these event and workshop costs will go towards account creation through our Steem guestbook @exhibition. We’re using Fundition to track the rewards of our posts (all of which will go towards the expenses) and we have a fun donor program for anyone that would like to support this ambition directly!
Direct donations in Steem Dollars (SBD) will get you a unique image created by the head illustrator of The Creative Crypto magazine (@creativecrypto), @zsolt.vidak! The prizes come in the following tiers -

Every sponsored creation will be displayed in the NYC gallery space for the duration of the show. We’re really shooting for an impressive wall display filled with the vibrant presence of Steemians from around the world. Any donation, regardless of size, is a tremendous help to making this project a reality and increasing the impact of Steem in this international hub of crypto.

ohhhhh i love it!!!! I might have to see if the members of @welcomewagon would like to do this! :) It's an initiative I started with the help of a lot other veteran Steemians to help exceptional newbies! We think that if they get the tools they need EARLY - they're more likely to stay, grow, and help Steemit become stronger!!! :) If we get enough members that are interested... we might grab that big $100 one! hehehehehe Thanks @sndbox!!!
