My Processes
As I paint I like to read and research what I am painting, even if I make up something. Usually the images I visualize have symbolic meanings as well as visually interesting to me. Finding the symbolism behind images can give me ideas for details and colors to enhance and evoke emotions of the viewers.
Today I laid down the first layer of color for the tree and skull. Tomorrow I will smooth away the lines and blend with gouache. You can see that I have worked the roots of the trees to get an idea of what colors I want and how the shadowing will work with the rest of the trees. will ink in Celtic runes to the shadows and power to the painting once I have finished laying on the paint.
This is the most boring part of painting, where stubbornness and discipline play a big part of why I paint. I want to see how this will turn out so I wade through confusion and doubt I experience at this point. This happens with every painting or drawing at this point. The work looks like crap and I doubt if I can pull this one off! Every painting is a new experience but it is getting easier, as I can ignore my doubt and boredom.

E is painting with me today, she is painting another favorite Pokeman called Litten. Both grandchildren are on break. Painting is a great way to teach and bond with people, especially children.

Hi red, this drawing is taking live now i mean color can improve the connection with the real meaning of paints. Red i want to know something how many pills you take per day? my mother take at least 5 and i think that is awful.
I don't take pills, I avoid big pharmaceutical and allopathic medicine. Family, food, exercise, and disciplining the mind are my medicine. I hope your Mum is okay <3 Thank you @dim753.
Yes she's good but i think that pills are so bad for health in long term. But whe you start to take it you have to do it for all your life. Regards red :)

There is a lot one can do with diet and exercise which will bring blood pressure back to normal.
Nice celtic knot work there.
Going to be interesting to see how dark you make the skull.
As in, the balance with wanting to get the shadow work in there, while maintaining the proper "pop" from the background.

Way to get them invested in a never ending cash sink...
I mean, a wonderful lifetime activity that has no ending.
I will be making the shadows on the skull and roots as dark as the background while adding bright white highlights. I think I will do this painting again and do it in black and white, pen and ink. I love the way the design turned out. Thank you @builderofcastles.
The grandchildren are learning about cryptocurrency. My grandson, E's brother is 13 years old and mature enough to start posting. But he really isn't interested in making money from blogging. We are trying to get him into some after school activities dealing with programming. I would love for him to learn about blockchain. Same with E, both are mathematically talented and have a curious nature.

Congratulations on such a balanced group! I have only 3 grandchildren-all boys 7-39 yrs. old and 4 great grandchildren.

Lot of Painting art works showing good meaning and matching our life or natural engagement. But lot of about humanity. This painting awesome yet, then after complete art work will become valuable & amazing design.
