Speed painting of Jesus under 3 minutes!!!
I did this painting in exactly 2 minutes 47 seconds (there's proof) back in 2016 . It was done live for an audience during a get-together at my local Church. I gave myself five minutes to do it but I was surprised when the show host announced after I was done that I had I spent less than three minutes.
This painting is a representation of Jesus the Christ. Yes, He may have not looked exactly like this but at least this image has stuck in our minds because it does justice to what He must have looked like, considering the period and culture he was born into. At first sight you know who it's supposed to be.
The event was a fun meeting with friends so I decided to involve two of them by making them hold the canvas for me; which they did quite well.

The Process
Preparation
I made the canvas myself by attaching thick black cloth material to a wooden frame. I then primed it smoothly with black paint to prevent it from sucking in all the oil paint. I also had all the paints mixed and ready for the performance.Execution
Firstly, I had some nice music play in the background (Above all by Michael W. Smith). I started the painting upside down to create suspense in the minds of the viewers; and also for theatrics 😊. I then asked my friends to turn the canvas right side up to finish the performance. Then came the bow 🙇.
