Zentangle and go insane!

Greetings from a almost Springy Holland!
The weather is amazing and nature is starting to bloom her magic!
My mom arrived today and we are getting ready for two weeks of fun and crafting!
I am a happy little snek right now! I might an adult but there is no better feeling than being under moms wings for a while!
Today I want to show you all a drawing I have been working on for the last couple of days!
Let's ZENTANGLE!
I call this Doodling but there are some peeps who like to call this making Zentangles!
What is Zentangle?
The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. We call these patterns, tangles. You create tangles with combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves and orbs. These simple shapes are the "Elemental Strokes" in all Zentangle art.
Zentangle is mostly done on small pieces of paper because you can create amazing mosaics with them!
This drawing took me about 12 hours and I am totally NOT ZEN! Now don't get me wrong I am not totally insane yet but I am getting there! :D
When I doodle, I hyper focus most of the time and that is the reason I clear my mind but this week was a rather hard week and no matter how hard I tried, nothing was working! That's okay, tomorrow is always a new day and next week is amazing!

Supplies!
For this drawing I used normal a4 white paper and a Staedtler pigment marker size 0.8
Next to that I have to mention that I used a lot of coffee and cookies! Pink cookies and some cake!
I hope that these posts I make about Doodling or Zentangles will inspire others to try this out as well! You really don't need skills to do so! Just start with a few simple lines or circles and see what happens! The most important thing is that you are having fun! There are a lot of people who enjoy coloring these kind of pages as well! For this reason I keep all my doodles in black and white! You see, I have a dream of creating my own coloring book one day! I started working on that when I just joined Steemit but never finished that project! Who knows, maybe by the end of this year it will happen!

Being with our mother always makes us feel helpless, maybe because they always make us feel like their children.... I love your work, it looks quite relaxing, sometimes it looks quite relaxing, but I think my level is low, I like to participate in some contests and that sounds like fun, but I'm going to try this technique and I think I can improve it with time, I congratulate her on her work and enjoy her mother's company, happy afternoon.

that negative part we're going to forget, it would be great if your mom shows us an easy recipe for cookies or a snack, but easy since I'm too lazy for cooking! I think I went out to my mom who doesn't like to cook either:) LOL

Amazing artwork!! Never heard of zentangles before and they look like a lot of fun to make! :D They are kind of like mandalas overlapping each other. Thanks for sharing!
I really never heard the name either! I found it on youtube of all places! It was really fun to do but took a lot of time! Hence the fact that I did not really became ZEN lol

Wow, this is so nice, I would like to do something like that, it seems to work in a therapeutic way to unravel and be calm.
