I write words on the palm of my left hand in biro to remind me of the important things to do that day.
I stick Post-It notes on my computer screen telling me the work I have to complete or the people I need to email. Different coloured pen is scrawled across my calendar with important dates and places to be. Stuck to my wall with bits of masking tape there are words and images, these are to remind me of my goals and aspirations, and the path I need to take.
I asked @merej99 in the comments section of my post Growing Roots what her word for 2017 would be, she said rejuvenation. So I made an adaptation of my image from today's post The Green Tree for her and anyone else who wants a little inspiration for 2017!
Scanned painting with text overlay.
What word will inspire 2017 for you?
All SBD and liquid STEEM from 1st Author payment will go to @merej99
Funny I was just talking about this the other day - how I used to always write notes in biro on my hand. Lots of my old journals have reverse text stamps over them from where my notated palm rested on the paper. Somehow over the past few years my digital world has taken over my old physical note habits. A life coach came in to my shop a while back and we got chatting. She firmly believes that the physical act of writing words by hand carry a more powerful intent then typed words do as we use more of our body when we handwrite.
I had to look up the word "biro" just now. lol Cool - learned something new.
I totally agree with being able to remember things better if you actually write them down. I think that is why it's so important to write notes down in classes and then also write out flash cards when studying. Totally agree with this. And, especially since I learn better from doing, rather than watching or hearing something.
Those are awesome! Any idea where I'd find links to the videos of the talks? Where did this take place? wonder if they will have more of these steemfests? Thanks.
I still have journals around for writing. I tend to hand write stories and then type them up. I like the act of physically crossing out and writing over the top of words, not just hitting delete on a computer screen. Slightly ironic that the piece involves computer aided design, but I didn't want to write over the original image!

This is truly amazing @opheliafu
I am truly grateful for this and so glad that we've connected on Steemit. Without you, I may have never picked up a paint brush. You are a blessing in my life and a part of my rejuvenation <3
Quality paintbrushes would be AMAZING. When I was doing a lot of house painting I definitely could tell the difference between quality brushes AND paint. It makes all the difference, doesn't it?
Well you have different brushes for different paint, and bristle quality and retention is important. However, just trying out a different shape of brush can really alter the way that you paint.
What a beautiful art @opheliafu Hugs from Panama ;)
Hugs back 🤗 from the UK!

A pleasure @merej99. You give so much to the community, maybe you can put the SBD to something nice for you- like a new paintbrush or some nice paper.
