Stomping through the damp leaves and mud on the edge of the forest path I came across a tree that had a beautiful combination of orange bark and green moss. Like emeralds against amber.
The moss was blanketing the bottom of the tree and spreading across the exposed sections of the roots. The damp bark gave the impression of rust, a nice contrast to the vivid moss green.
I wondered what the tree would look like if the moss advanced all the way up the trunk and across the branches. A beautiful beacon of green standing tall against the orange leaves and bracken.

My favourite part of the picture is actually the background. I like the subtle layers of colour from the acrylic paint, especially in the corners of the picture.
