Vagabonds - interactive Paintings S2 - Quarterfinal 3: Pattimura vs Mutia
The Vagabonds is an interactive game, here on steemit, based on my original paintings. In the first phase, I presented 8 unique characters, and you, yes, you determined their own unique Name, their positive as well as their negative trait and their unique weapon/artefact/superpower.
Now we're pitching these 8 fictional Vagabonds in fictional one-on-one contests/games/battles, ... also chosen by you! (You can still suggest games/contests/battles as a comment in this post and I'm letting the dice choose randomly for every match - we do have some great suggestions, so thanks already for that! The outcome of the fictional contest is also interactive: I present the characters and the contest, and you can comment on how you see this particular contest turn out, and who wins in your scenario. A winner will be chosen and will move on to the Semi-Final, until we have our Grand Vagabond Winner!
But before we move on to the third Quarter-Final, the second QF must be resolved!
After @fraenk's effin' awesome entry for QF 1, only @edward.maesen dared to take up the challenge in writing an outcome for the Paintball-match between Monica and Zilong. It was a great story though, with some kinky double entendres, some risqué moves: and a clear winner: Monica. I laughed out loud a few times, so you may enjoy the comment if you haven't read it right here.
Then came the entries by @junsusukhairi, @lintah and @sudong, undaunted by neither @fraenk's or @edward.maesen's entries. I understand not writing in English is a major disadvantage in this stage, but these three, in my opinion, nevertheless, tried their best. Kudos to you!
And, some time before posting this entry, @fraenk posted his non-qualifying entry which took yet another spin on the Vagabonds lore, in which Zilong is changing his identity to Zygmunt, the Popular but Crazy Mastermind... which happens to be @fraenk's own entry to the character. In a plot-twist, his non-qualifying entry was changed to a Qualifying entry, mere minutes before I started writing this post. This game has everything.
So the dice will have to decide.
But let me first tell you this: this game of Vagabonds is awesome fun - the making of the characters, and now pitching them in games you have concocted, and reading your entries. It's great fun, thank you! As I'm not providing as much input as I have been doing in Phase I, I'm sending out more SBD to valid entries. It's 1.1 SBD for the QF, and that might go up for the Semi-Finals and Final. And there are bragging rights, of course!
Now then, Then Now! here's the winning entry of QF2:
Monica is unimpressed by lovesick Zilong's premature paintball-thrust (don't even mention his Magic Spear) and predictively strikes him out with a blow to the nether-regions! congrats @edward.maesen! Duchess Monica goes through to the Semi-Finals!
I'm still allowing Zilong getting a phone-call after his humiliating defeat, to hear that the paperwork has gone through and he can swiftly change his identity to Zygmunt. Bearing an eternal grudge against Monica, his destiny is now to seek her in Niflheim for revenge in a possible Vagabonds Season III. That okay with you, @fraenk?

So it's a Dandy but Schizofrenic guy with a Sword as a Tool of War versus an Allmighty but tiresome lady weilding a Sword of Death in a match of cuddling... How will this match go, who has the better options available? How do you even win a match of cuddling? I don't know, you tell me in the comments, but only one can go through to the Semi-Final. Try to take in account all aspects of the characters - positive and negative traits, and their superpowers. It may be short, it may be extensive, but it should be original.

Mutia had been waiting for this round, but... her googly eyes 👀 were not looking at Pattimura. Oh no! She had seen enough tools in her life already, and his Sword as Tool of War didn't impress her.
No sir! No Madam!
Besides, he looked rather two-faced. And also, she had noticed that Zygmunt was watching in the shadows. He might appear to be clever and popular, but she knew all too well that he was crazy as a bat. And she had a feeling he had a crush on her... better not to go into a cuddling match, be it violent or not. Who knows how he'd respond?! He seemed the jealous type!
Anyways, all that really didn't matter, deep in her heart Mutia knew I always with you! But for now, her sights were on the coveted torch that @edward.maesen was carrying - that same torch he had cunningly wrestled from the hands of @fraenk.
In a dazzling display of agility Mutia somersaulted through the air, blinding everyone with her shiny Sword of Death and in one swell swoop she grabbed the torch and made a run for it. Everyone was so flabbergasted that before they realized what just had happened she was already out of sight.
But who was that running as lightning after her? Was that the infamous @cuddlekitten?
Is anybody even cuddling over here!? You're all avoiding the contest, and you're doing it with panache! Thanks for your entry again, @edward.maesen and expanding on the fate of Zygmunt and @cuddlekitten, this is getting enigmatic, just the way I like it :)

hopefully I can win in this game but my opponent really very tough that is mr @edward.maesen. He is very good at making a story and a very good contribution to the game. He was the best all along.

Whew! Yeah, imagine him there, already plotting revenge - the true Master Criminal he's about to become because of his temporary defeat. And I even forgot about that cooperative contemplation, bloody synchronistic. I bet @edward.maesen will have an idea or two to add :D

Hehe, violent was one of the unused adjectives of Season 2, I thought I may well fit this QF3 :)
Now then, then now, the master criminal just found his match it seems!... or does he have another card or two up his sleeves?
My story for this Vagabonds S2QF3 is a sequel to @edward.maesen's entry.
What happened so far:
As this match of violent cuddling was about to start, one of the combatants, Mutia to be precise, had the mindbogglingly brilliant idea of stealing the bragging rights from the Gods, deciding her fate themselves, directly.
In an attempt to break the circle of a fictious hiveminded Niflheim Metaverse on @marty-art's blog, she stole the magic torch, the symbol of masterful narration, right from @edward.maesen's hands, just as he was predicting, right at that moment.
Flabbergasted by his own imagination @edward.maesen looked after Mutia as she ran towards the exit of the arena with his hard earned bragging rights.
[Remark:] "Really, Edward, what was up there, you of all people are the one who should have known better. You knew she was coming, actually you made her come for it, and then you let her get away with it, too... sigh... well I guess it's up to me to fix the situation now!"
Fortunately, though, everyone's darling @cuddlekitten suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Well, I guess if there's a cuddling match anywhere, even if it's a violent one in Niflheim, @cuddlekitten cannot be missing, can she?
And so the story unfolds:
@cuddlekitten, soft and fluffy, umm... like a lightning-bolt, pursued Mutia through the locker room.
ZilongZygmunt, was still there, recovering from his loss in the previous quarter final, he had just gotten off the phone with a professional advisor when the little fur-ball swooshed past him.It is hard to say what happened next. @cuddlekitten pursued Mutia into the mist outside the arena and out of sight from anyone present. We could hear faint sounds of some drumset playing, followed by a serenade played on a guitar. Then a faint "awwwww" and a distant "purrrr"
Neither @cuddlekitten nor Mutia have returned since then, but we can clearly determine that Pattimura, who's been sitting passively and without any mention, completely uncuddled, in the arena all this while, has not won this match. Mutia however, we can say with 100.39% certainty, has had some serious cuddling going on out there... I guess that makes her the winner today.
But what happened to the torch of Bragging rights?! Will it be gone for good? Will this universe collapse here? What will happen next?
